That whole quote contradicts itself. I'll pass in any child that wants to play major college football and demand to be #1 before he commits!

Dont want to be part of a duo? Haul ads to McNeese or ULLLLLLLLL

Lattimore had 2 freak leg injuries but he didn’t have some insane number of carries.

No more per game than LF7 got

He went be rated #1 after this season...although talented, how much foreshadowed drama can you take from 1 player.

Lattimore had SEC games with 37 (UGA) and 40 (UF) carries his FRESHMAN year. He was headed on that path before injuries next 2 years as well.

Fournette has carries over 30 only twice, and that was just 31 (UF) and 32 (A&M) his SOPHOMORE year.

Lattimore had 555 carries and 74 receptions .

629 touches 29 games.

Fournette had 616 carries and 41 receptions

657 touches in 32 games

28 more touches in 3 more games . Don’t forget the fact that Fournette at least had a guy backing him up time from time . Lattimore was a straight up workhorse . Even if he was hurt that kid was in the game running it .

So he averages around 2 more touches a game

It’s not like the guy wore down. He knew bend the wrong way. That’s not an overuse injury.

Just admit you’re wrong . Lattimore got the ball damn near every play at South Carolina .

Why?

I’m not.

Your perception is that he got all these carries but he never had over 250 in a season.

LF7 has 300 in 12 games his Sophmore year.

Lattimore was on pace for 302 carries in 13 games his Sophmore year.

It’s not like he got hurt in a game on his 50th carry.

Freak injuries are freak. And sure you can get hurt in any play and the more plays you have the greater your chance of getting hurt, but it still comes down to luck more
Often than not.

Because he plays a violent sport and played on a sprained ankle.

Guice injures his ankle and missed games last year and he had no where near the # of carries LF7 had.

Tell me how some guys get 350 carries and chug on and some cuts blow out their knees in spring ball.

It’s fricking dumb luck.

quote:

Think it's pretty clear he doesn't want to go to LSU, and he's just creating criteria that LSU can't satisfy, instead of coming out and just saying he doesn't want to be here.

I would bet a month’s salary that this is not so. You are assuming he is clever and has crafted a face-saving explanation. More likely he has put forth conflicting criteria and did not even notice the conflict.

He's a kid and a kids mind changes with the wind. People have to understand that questions are being asked to these kids and they are giving kid answers, which is why it doesn't make much sense. I'll leave it up to our coaches to show him the way. If LSU were to get all 3 of these top 10 backs, which could happen, then they will all be featured, and won't have much wear and tear, which is exactly what he's looking for. Perfect for LSU IMO. He will have to come in and put in work to beat out who's already here and who will come in with him.

IMO they should RS all 3 unless we need one or two of them. We'll see what we have this year but I think the backs we already have will surprise people. LSU probably got the best all around back in the country last year. Power, good cutting ability, some speed, can catch, and block. LSU has some great backs. They just aren't national names.

LSU needs to continue to focus on shoring up the CB position, QB position, and develop an offense. We do that and everything will fall into place. We have some of the best recruiters/coaches on staff now. They all have help and can focus efforts on the players and future players instead of game planning for the season. Huge advantage that we didn't have previously. Better coaches, better recruiters, and more help should take us where we want to be.

How about seeing if you can be a productive back in major college football first before saving your body for the NFL.
