Yeah I think that Saban had him in Alabama last year for Junior Day. Bama spotted him last year at the Superdome I believe.

I am wondering why LSU seems to be lagging behind on this one.

somebody better tell him that the t-shirt idea needs to be dismissed. There could be a potential violation of amateur status with that, Jeremy Bloom style.

Saban came to Monroe a while back and sat down with Diarse and his dad for a few hours. Invited him to Bama/Florida but turned down to attend his homecoming dance.

So do they live in Carroll's, Wossman's or Richwood's school district?

I wished they would have thrown it his way when he was in at CB for a few plays. He would have had an interception added to his stats. As good as he is at QB/WR, he's an even better CB, imo.

The guy must be pretty good if Saban has already committed an NCAA violation over two years before he can sign.

I don't know if that's true. Saban found him last year when he was looking at Hodge. From what I was told neither of them were that interested. He was invited to Bama's Jr. day but I don't know if he made it.

For OU812, he lives in Neville's district and went to Lee jr. High.

The passing stats in the O.P. are correct. The newspaper and boxscore were wrong. He had a 76 yard TD pass to Brandon Walker that showed up as a 24 yarder.

Information came from one of the assistants he was officiating my nephews game. It was during the open recruitment so no violation was committed to my knowledge.

I'm confused. Is he interested, or is he not interested?

It is absolutely a violation if it happened as you describe it. He can't visit him in person until November of his senior year. It would've been a violation even if it was a 2011 prospect.

Reads as though Diarse is interested in Alabama.

Rivals says 6'0 170. He isn't listed on scout or espn yet

I believe this to be true. I did not see it with my own eyes but I have heard from several Neville people that Saban did in fact meet with Diarse. Saban has a great "in" with Diarse. Former Neville and LSU OL Rob Sale is a grad assistant with Saban at Alabama and his parents are still heavily involved with Neville football. The Sale family, while supporters of LSU, are also very fond of Saban.

So yes, he "happened to run into him" as has been said.

Maybe in 7th grade. That kid looks WAY bigger than that now.

ETA: Paul Turner is 5'10" 190 and Diarse dwarfs him.
