Finishing with a 3* RB converting to linebacker over Davis would be bad if we don't get Leigh it would be terrible.

O should already be on the hot seat that would solidify it.

He has to get Leigh. We can't finish with a 3* juco and another fricking Ivy League transfer.

That isn't solidifying the trenches and building a championship program.

Leigh definitely turns this from an elite class to an all timer type of class.

I think they get Kimo and the Harvard transfer to go with Dellinger. Recruit a majority of the OL to return and OL looks good.

The question is...what happens if BTJ, Leigh, and Davis all want in?

I also wish that we had more OL recruits, but you sound like a bitch.

We have Penn (#11 ILB) and Strong (#1 Juco). We also got Sampah, White and Webb last class so the LB cupboard isn't bare. I'm not discounting how much a loss Davis would be, but he's a Cali kid that was going to be hard to hold onto. I wouldn't be shocked if he joins Foreman at USC.

I said IF we get Leigh that makes the class a homerun. That would give us 2 Top 15 OTs this class. Throw in Kimo and we are in much better shape with OL. We picked up Dumervill last class who was the #11 OT so we will see how he works out next year.

We are going to finish with a very good group of DL recruits, the top 2 safeties, 2 good RBs and a stud QB to go with a group of solid WRs.

I don't share your pessimism.

Davis is still committed and still should be in the class pending a good DC hire. He’s been a big recruiter for this class all along and wants to see what happens with coaching changes.

Then you take Leigh and BTJ. Davis is still committed so as of now he’s in and they should be applying pressure to keep him in him and his father are big fans of O and LSU. You don’t pass on these kind of prospects for 3star lineman.

I'm not counting him out at this point, but his recruitment has gone very quiet lately. I don't see insiders saying he's solid or even a strong lean to stay.

And where do you see anybody saying he’s a lean to not be in the class? He’s been committed for a year and remained committed through the last coaching hires. He wants to see what happens with the DC situation.

Lester: When Davis did not sign the other day, that sort of suggested he might want to take another look at the home school USC. IF USC wins the PAC12 title and then wins a NYC bowl they can start turning that program around. If Foreman winds up there, I can see Davis joining him.

I feel pretty good about LB recruiting so if he replaces Davis and with Jones that gets you to 21 with 4 slots.

At that point it is sort of a Bayesian statistical process. What you sign in February to me is related to what happens with Liam, Deculus, Big Ed and Dare. IF 3 of the 4 come back, then if Thomas from Walker wants in you take him (you take him regardless) and then if Langston the DE from Florida signs, you take 2 OL. If Leigh is in you take him no doubt and I would take the OL from Florida (KIMO).

Under all scenarios above, if you loose Thomas maybe you push for Destyn Hill for Karr, 247 composite #13 in the country or maybe go after Erik Cade 6-5 313 OT from Denton, TX, seems LSU with Arizona State and Bama are the 3 Warm schools but Bama already has 2 tackles signed, so if it comes down to LSU and ASU, maybe LSU can get him in February.

I would think R Davis, B Thomas & T Leigh are very high, if not on top of the Priority List of prospects to compete the class. The Staff should have a read in their desire to become Tigers soon. We may well have to move on to other interested student athletes to avoid being snubbed at the last minute.

Leigh is announcing January 2nd, Davis is still committed, and BTJ is signing and announcing in February as was the plan all along with him. If he wants in you save a spot for the #2 WR in the country who’s an in state guy.

I mean...to be fair, I think a large part of the reason you don't see insiders talking about whether he's a strong lean to stay is because there's nothing in the first place to suggest that he's *not*. I'm not saying he definitely signs with LSU, but he's never actually decommitted, nor has there been much smoke about any other schools.
