speed he has but can anyone really say that if he still was at lsu he would play in the backfield ? has no hips to play corner and two short. so really what is he? i think he was a great hs player at 3a . can be a world class sprinter thou

Brazil = Trindon Holliday
Which is a really really good thing if you use him properly. He's a specialty back and world class returner if given that chance.

Brazil is not Trindon. Brazil has the straight line speed but not the quick cuts that Trindon has.
Still, the guy is immensely talented in his own right and can be effective when used right. I always thought when he was at LSU that he should be used for end arounds and in the return game (in the same role as Trindon) and not at CB. Never thought he had the hips for it like someone else said.

Wow, Auburn sure does love some JUCO transfers

I actually think its the opposite
I think Trindon is faster than Brazil by a little, but Brazil is more shifty and can make those quick cuts.

I love Trindon and all,but he's got sprinters hips, zero lateral movement in them

Trindon is a probowler and Brazil has more arrests than touchdowns so it's hard to compare the two.

It wasn't like he was small. 5'10 190, and looked every bit of that when he got like his onky two snaps.
I just wonder what he could have done with all that speed. Good thing is we get another shot at a 'not as fast', but more explosive player in Guice.

Phillips was also committed to UF at one point (I think).
My thoughts on Brazil is that if he has matured (repentance is as well known as his sin type thing) then LSU is where he could best demonstrate as much. IOW, if he has and wants to show the world that he's matured, then LSU is his place. If he chooses to go elsewhere it's pretty much proof positive he hasn't grown up at all.
If we have a need I would be ok with either (contingent as noted above).

I don't have any idea if we would take him back. I think it's contingent on two factors:
1) Having a need for his skill set
2) Him demonstrating some maturity and responsibility.

Taken from another thread but I pose it to you...
Name the last football player we signed out of high school that went to JUCO and still made it to LSU.

Huh? Trindon had absolutely zero moves (no wiggle), he was all straight line speed. Brazil certainly isnt as fast, but he has a little more wiggles to him.
Trindon just beat people by getting behind them and roasting them. He never did that with any particular moves.

Dunno - has this ever happened?

I don't think anyone could recall this happening in football.

Brazil had as much to learn on the field as he does off of it. From what I've heard from other players on the team the guy was scared to return. Also was told that he couldn't catch well and would drop balls all the time. They were struggling with finding him a place on the field. They wanted to use his speed, but if that's all you have it's not always a good thing. good riddance I was told by another player that he was an absolute punk fwiw

good for him. Wish him the best of luck.

I remember reading in a previous thread Phillips was interested in USCw. Idk the validity of it, but wouldnt be a terrible spot for him. Would hate to see him at Bama down the line.
