Anthony Jennings, Marietta (Ga.): Jennings isn't very tall, but he's compact and well built. He won't wow scouts with his arm strength, but he can still get the ball where it needs to be on time. Perhaps most importantly, Jennings has good footwork and accuracy.

SportsIllustrated/Rivals

Pay sites are all raving about him.

If all goes as planned we could have the best QB situation since Russell and Flynn.

Sounds like they are describing a guy that plays on Sundays in the Superdome.

I like it, rather he receive compliments on his accuracy and footwork as a High Schooler then about how far or hard he can launch

Agree. The terms used to describe his height was "not very tall". Those terms could be used to describe Brees also.

Just read all the premium stuff. He throws 7 passes in the 7v7.

Too small of a sample size IMO.

I was confused at first, too.

But from hundreds of competitors across the nation, they narrow it down to 25 QB's and further narrow it down to the top "elite" 11.

Agree about the height. It seems these analysts look for anything to knock a kid down some. 6'2 isn't great height but it's solid. You know that guy projected to be #1 in the draft next year, Matt Barkley, guess how tall he is? You got it 6'2. 6'2 is usually listed as the starting height when QB's are considered ok on height.
Brees is the abberation. Can't compare QBs to him. He's a rare guy.

Jarrett Lee was listed at 6'2". I don't think anyone would look at him on the field and say his deficiency was height. 6'2" is plenty tall enough.
