No doubt. The kid is obviously taking his football future very seriously. I just hope he doesn't get caught up in this bullshite groupthink about Bama being a better choice than LSU in terms of preparing him for the NFL. I would hope he is surrounded by people who are smart enough to see that.

Kid is guzzling the Bama Kool-aid, hope he signs with the Tigers.

There was a very reasonable post made by SFP in this thread that seems to have disappeared.

It disappearing kind of makes his point.

It was regarding the censorship of certain topics on this board. That's as far as I'll go with the explanation.

His post was bullshite.

Every post that isn't your idea and buys into your mindset is usually bullshite.

Not to reasonable people. But this very topic seems to be making people both unreasonable and overly zealous in defending the unreasonable.

Why can't you say more about the post? Is it against the rules?

First, I'm not going to repeat everything that was in a post that was whacked, for obvious reasons.
Second, I don't want to mess up the argument SFP laid out and give someone a false impression of what he said.

I think the best thing we can do as fans regarding Moses is to not play the desperation game.
The #1 way to drive someone away from you is to reveal to them how desperate you are to have their company.
We need to be ourselves. Be LSU, and just do what we do. Support our team, make good posts, make good replies, share information about recruiting.
The last thing we need to do is explode over any tweet or any sock change that Moses might make.
I'm happy to hear the news that Moses is still thinking and talking about LSU. But just like any pursuit, you catch the target by creating a favorable situation for catching them. Running harder after them... only makes them run away.
Note that I'm not talking about the coaches here. I'm talking about us fans. If we know the kid and his dad are reading this message board, then it's best to just play it cool regarding Moses.

quote:Moses demanded an entire fanbase walk on eggshells for him?!?!quote:no that's an issue with moses. i can't recall any other recruit that demanded an entire fanbase walk on eggshells for him
That's not the issue with Moses. That's the issue with TigerDroppings community.
You take an extreme position, counselor. You are either a true believer of your bullshite or you're just spinning for spinning's sake. I'll go with the latter.
quote:Oh for frick's sake.
decommitting and then throwing up bama gear is a bit more than "not being 100% pro-LSU".
He committed too young because he was . . . too young.
Please don't feign ignorance of the Catastrophe Syndrome and Jilted Lover Syndrome that gets played on here about Moses almost daily. It insults your intelligence.
quote:Dylan Moses is not a presidential candidate. He doesn't have a PR department. He's a kid, literally and legally.
trying to blame the fans reacting to those moves was bush league and PR spin. these actions were not some simple, insignificant behavior
Did you see the shite that was spewed on here about Dylan and his dad? I did. The full force of ignorant LSU fan Catastrophe Syndrome and Jilted Lover Syndrome was on widescreen display.
quote:That's good. I believe you.
i'm not a recruiting guy and don't get emotional over pretty much anything.
I wished it applied to the morons who post on here. They do get emotional. Oh my fricking god do they get emotional.
They melt. They whine. They post inane fricking gibberish intended to blast Dylan and his dad.
quote:My post is accurate, and you know it . . . unless you completely ignore this board. There are threads on a weekly, perhaps daily, basis in which posters totally melt and lash out. We all know the famous incidents that have spawned thread after thread of extreme melting, and there have been some doozies about the Moses. Most of them were whacked. It might be better if they didn't respond to the attacks made on them and their character, but to say that it's not justified is bullshite.
your analysis is completely laughable
And to go the further step and suggest that they are trying to "demand an entire fanbase walk on eggshells for him" is beyond bullshite.
quote:For the record, I never said he was coming. I don't know. What I object to are the posts that take shots at the Moses because the poster has hurt feelings.quote:well when a recruit decommits and starts publicly supporting your rival, it's logical to assume he's not coming
Even your own post is tinged with fear that Moses is leaving and just looking for an excuse.
quote:So THAT is your agenda. You blame the Moses for censorship on this board.
he's playing the game to garner that attention. this board is just reacting to the games he's playing (and i'm not singling him out. many recruits play these games). now what is magical is the change his attitude and behavior has caused on this board
people got banned on NSD for making funny joke threads that didn't even apply to LSU
chicken instituted rules that completely censor discussion on here and have turned this board into a completely sheltered echo chamber. that's all because of the dylan moses saga and his PR machine
hell dylan moses threads are routinely deleted and heavily edited by admins. this very thread had that happen (the post preceding your post was #180 last night and is now #179). that is just ridiculous to me
if the choice is "no dylan moses discussion and a return to speaking objectively" or "you can discuss dylan moses but this board is a one-sided echo chamber" then i choose the former. i hate censorship and minute rules dictating what can be discussed
You can't be that dumb. I mean, I suppose a poster could be that dumb, but I don't believe that about you.
Moses did not bring down the Recruiting Board law from the mountaintop. The rule that posters should avoid negative comments about recruits has been here for a long time. It's not new.
We know from several experts that recruits and their parents read these boards. We know that the posts on these boards can have a dramatic impact upon recruits and their parents. We know these facts. The experts have repeatedly and consistently expressed these facts. This is not something that is disputable.
We also know that this is a privately owned and operated site. The owner can do whatever he likes. If he prefers that posters refrain from making libelous comments, insulting comments, or comments that by their very utterance inflict injury, then he can make and enforce rules that express exactly that intent.
MOREOVER, as a lawyer, you should know that there is no such thing as unlimited speech.
There are plenty of limits on free speech:
quote:Chaplinsky v. State of New Hampshire, 315 U.S. 568, 571-72, 62 S. Ct. 766; 86 L. Ed. 1031 (1942) (footnotes omitted).
Allowing the broadest scope to the language and purpose of the Fourteenth Amendment, it is well understood that the right of free speech is not absolute at all times and under all circumstances. There are certain well defined and narrowly limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which have never been thought to raise any Constitutional problem. These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous, and the insulting or "fighting" words -- those which, by their very utterance, inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace. It has been well observed that such utterances are no essential part of any exposition of ideas, and are of such slight social value as a step to truth that any benefit that may be derived from them is clearly outweighed by the social interest in order and morality.

"Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Florida, UCLA and USC are still my top schools,” Moses said. “Alabama is still my leader because they are more structured. They have very good discipline over there so they get their kids doing what they have to do. I like their strength program, coach [Scott] Cochran, coach [Nick] Saban. It’s just a really great coaching staff over there and I just really feel comfortable there.”

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native recently transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Moses said one of the reasons he moved was so that he would be able to enroll early at whichever college he attends.

“It also takes some pressure off of me,” Moses said. “When I was in Baton Rouge, everyone was expecting me to go to LSU. Now that I’m out of the state of Louisiana, people are like more skeptical about where I am going to go now.”

You guys take TD way too seriously. Chicken couldn't give less fricks if SFPs feelings get hurt by the way this board is moderated and you just typed a novel in response to him that's just gonna get deleted too.

Second, I have lots of posts that get deleted because they contain quotes from moronic posts to which I am responding.
It makes me very happy when my posts get deleted because it means that the moronic posts to which I am responding also get deleted.
I want those moronic posts deleted; therefore, I also want my posts that contain quotes from those moronic posts to be deleted.

Welp this post must not be very true, since he just named Alabama his leader..
