It's sad that's it's come to this. Used to be a lot more interesting.

The Night Before Signing Day

It happens in this age. But just because there are negatives doesn’t mean there aren’t positives.
I remember sweating bullets thinking Pickett would flip and he held true!

Not even. Some kids were fielding phone calls up to the minute before they made their decision. Then even after signing they can just reneg on it.

No point in covering recruiting anymore until two weeks before early signing period. By this point most recruits have signed during early signing period, so sites like 247 and ON3 have nothing to report. TD will survive on rumors, but the Soap Opera of College Recruiting is no more.....

So are we respecting his decision or naw?

Kids like this, just shows lack of good parenting .

I literally said right when this guy committed that it’s not a matter of if but when he announces his decommitment sooner than later

One thing that does not benefit LSU is when posters piss on all Miss. recruits b/c some of them play games. Some Miss. recruits are honest and honorable and even end up here, improving the program.
Our fans are too insular sometimes.

Each time there is a post about a recruit these days, there are the posts about "not interested any more" or "it's just about $$$" or "I'll check back on signing day," but we now have three pages of folks posting on a recruiting board to say they don't care about recruiting.
I understand the fatigue and annoyance of recruiting now, but it's kind of funny.

Here's the thing. In this day and age, they put this kids on a pedestal like a NFL PRO Player. Heck, Academically, many of them are ruined due to the MONEY being thrown around.
NFL Uses a Salary Cap for a reason. So, why can't the NCAA institute the same thing for the NIL.
Freshman Player; 1st Yr 150K
Sophomore Player - 2nd yr 225K
Junior Player -3rd Yr 700K
Senior Player 4th Yr- 1mil
Most leave after there Junior Year anyway. This would in fact put it at a limit, stop the Money Hustle, and allow these kids a chance at an education.
FWIW, Just a thought

Pretty sure the parents for most of these recruits are the main problem. You can’t convince me that most of them don’t dictate where their son should play because X university offered them the biggest money bag because the parents know they are about to be setup for life.

Commitment means nothing in college....

Out of state kids who commit are always the ones you gotta be nervous about. They don’t bleed purple and gold like Louisiana kids do

I don’t even care about signings unless they are supposed to contribute year 1. Otherwise they may be gone or replaced by a better transfer a year later anyway.

Yall have to realize this is a little trick Ole Miss boosters get off on. Say recruit is committed to Mississippi State, LSU, Bama, Auburn. They plan a scripted flip to try to bring attention to the program and their recruiting. They tried to do it this year with the LB from Winona MS but Mama said no and it backfired in their face.
Kiffin thinks its a big joke and funny.

Lol. Ole miss is so high schoolish. Kiffin is perfect fit for those wannabes. LSU will just go sign a higher ranked player than they got. I've seen it happen too many times. That boy is tiger bait.
