Brian Kelly has actually been pretty good about producing TE's and OL for the NFL more than QB/WR/RB.

Physically I think Taylor may be a better all around athlete. Jake is more developed as a TE at this point. With good coaching I wouldn't be shocked to see Taylor become one of the better TEs in the SEC.
The good news is that Kelly likes to use TEs and I suspect TE will be a heavily recruited and developed position at LSU.
