He certainly isn't wrong, though.

maybe, but most likely the promise of a better NIL deal will be the determining factor

He seems to have been looking for anywhere but LSU

Word around town is his mom wants him to go to school in Texas.

I mentioned that he might not have been cleared to recruit yet but it was reported on 247 that he is now cleared. I don’t know when this was official so can’t say if he was allowed to attend a home or not.

NCAA usually decides/notifies of such things on Thursdays.

My guess he was clear as of Thurs night or Fri. morning.

And yes, you literally have to fill out a form and submit it to the NCAA for a recruiting coach. They often ask for proof of employment too... copy of contract, affidavit, etc. Something with a date on it so they can backtrack when he was recruiting for which school just in case there are complaints later of "stealing recruits".

Yeah, I heard the Aggies 247 is not as confident on landing Mathews and Harris. They have said both of them are an LSU vs aTm battle.

I'm skeptical of the Harris talk only because I think that A&M wants to use it as a "recruiting win" over LSU. There has been zero talk of Denver Harris the past 6 months on LSU boards.

Just kidding. What you're saying makes sense, but it's also possible we haven't heard about Denver Harris because of our coaching uncertainty. Now that we've hired Kelly and it appears Raymond might be staying, maybe Harris is legitimately considering us again.

If I recall, we were solidly in the mix before the season, weren't we?

Denver is a super quiet kid. It's been Bama and A&M that were leading the pack but LSU has always been in the background. I want to believe. It's been a minute since LSU got a kid from North Shore. Now would be a great time to get that pipeline back
