He has been talking with UL, Nicholls and and other smaller schools but no official offer as of now. In my biased opinion if you do not go to the right camps and get a star rating next to your name it is very difficult to get any exposure.

No he is not really on LSU's radar. I think he should be but he is my son so I may be a little biased.

Just looking at his film, that size school is probably where he would best fit. Just my opinion, little tight in the hips, but the boy brings aggression and seems very comfortable playing on the line or the backfield. Lots of versatility. I like his game. You just have to be a freak of nature almost to get the big D1 offers. I dont love it, but thats just how it seems to me.

With the portal these days, he can go to a FCS school, show out and go D1 pretty quickly.

I did see Jackson play vs LCA a couple of times, the kid is one heck of a ball player.
Is he good enough to play and excel at LSU/ SEC a la the Weeks brothers?

I was watching him in 2A games, so it is a little hard to tell.

On another note, I saw the alumni band Saturday night, when they played with the TGBFTL it sounded so much better, it felt like that was about the size I remember the band being back in the 80s.

Were you there for that? I know you were in the band when you were at LSU.

This Kid is not only a great player but a great kid. He’s been starting for NDHS since his sophomore year and if you know anything about NDHS, is kids usually have to wait their turn to play, usually no matter how good you are. That’s how much this kid stood out. He’s also related to the great Tommy Casanova. He’s good enough to play D1 ball. Not sure if it’s LSU level but he’s going to play somewhere.

I’ve watched a lot of ND games this year there were some games where he basically won the game for his team as much as a defensive player can (case in point in the regular season LCA win). The game against LCA last week the LCA coaches must have had his name and number plastered all over that locker room because he wasn’t going to beat them like he did last time. With him taken out of the play ND’s line didn’t stand a chance when that QB wanted to run.

It’s a testament to the player Casanova is frankly. I hope he can latch on at McNeese or UL and make it to bigger places in the portal once he gets his name and game out there.

He has great eyes. Really reads the play well and reacts in a hurry.

You're Jackie's son? What a fine person he is? Heck, all of the Casanovas are fine people. Would love to see young Jackson at LSU.
