It’s exhausting with all these “commits” being so committed

Wake me up when it’s NSD and actually fax the paperwork

It’s crazy how one side of the ball seems to have no issues with nil, stacking talent at every position. Can’t keep players committed at huge positions of need, I see coaches burning out quickly in the future.

He'll be coaching at LSU in 2 years when Raymond's contract is done. I think that was a bad move by BK personally.

Are you going to ignore the fact that there’s a defensive tackle from Westgate coming in this year?

We lost the best CB last year from our own backyard to Texas I guess that's Raymond fault as well?

Nope. The Godfather lost that one. The greatest recruiter in LSU history according to most yet twice hes had high 4* family members choose against him. Noil and Mack.

I agree. I’ve repeated this so many times but his last 2 years at LSU and last 2 years at UF he came in 2nd with top targets. On top of that his secondaries were God awful all 4 years. And he had Ricks and Stingley one of those years…

I never put a ton of faith in a January commit because others come in and the kids want to measure all the schools. There's a good chance he'll be a Tiger. But until the paper is signed, nothing is finished.

Hopefully DJ Pickett looks at this as being an even better opportunity for him at LSU now.

Antoine was "coming here next year" as well. Furthermore, LSU owns Acadiana, EXCEPT Westgate. 1 out of the last 4 big recruits came herr. Boutte did came to LSU, and we saw how that turned out...

I sorta get it. Westgate has a bunch of kids who grew up with nothing and want to get the hell out of New Iberia. Who can blame them!

A lot of odd things going on with LSU recruiting.

It was said that LSU wasn't spending on the transfer portal because we were spending on recruiting on high school guys, as well as retention. Now some are saying this kid, at a position of need, from Louisiana, is decommitting because of money.

The general opinion I have heard is that Alabama is generally in the same boat as us when it comes to not having the mega bucks to buy recruits. But they have a brand new staff, mostly coaches who have never coached or recruited in the South, but they're on a roll and apparently lead for a 5* offensive tackle and a couple of 5* receivers.

Meanwhile, our staff can't lock down an in-state kid at a position of real need. I'm not sure what the problem is, but they better figure it out.

The big problem is our defense hasn’t been on par with the better programs in the country the past 4 years. Also Raymond is easy to negatively recruit. His secondaries for 4 years have been awful. Brand new staff with washed Raymond on it and when you mix that with matching or offering more money it’s pretty easy to convince a kid you are the better choice. At certain times in your programs development you have to spend a good bit more than others in certain places and BK refuses to do so. We are struggling getting top secondary and DT recruits to commit. Pickett and others will play Raymond the same way he’s been played for years now.
