I’ll be shocked if we are outside of the top 6.

How high can LSU finish in 24 recruiting realistically? Currently 18 commits and sitting pretty low at 13th nationally. Only 2 commits in the top 100.
We are only projected to land 1 top 25 recruit. Will lsu finish outside the top ten in 24 recruiting class?
Im afraid this is a real possibility.
Obviously it is very early and there is still a lot of recruiting left to be done but we gotta make some moves. Quick.
Prolly finish around 10. Just have to coach'em up.

According to Sonny Shipp, you'll see some really interesting guys on campus for OV's during the fall since LSU elected to save those visits for gamedays instead of using them during the summer as a lot of other teams did.
That's very smart. LSU has the best gameday experience in CFB. Better to bring these kids in when they can feel what it's like to be in Tiger Stadium with the crowd, see the tail gaiting and hopefully watch LSU kick arse.

I definitely like the idea assuming you can keep guys nibbling at the hook until then. It could obviously go south on you if a kid commits to another school and shuts things down but if you can get that late visit while they're uncommitted, you certainly like the appeal of a gameday visit.

Only one commit inside Top 100...top 10 class is doubtful

I think folks feeling this way is becasue what they got used to under Orgeron. He would take the early visits and push for the early commits only to be left at the altar on signing day. BK on the other hand is pushing those visits to the fall so recruits can see what Death Valley really has to offer and will get those commits then. Have faith and be patient

Stars are important but talent eval is more so.O did a
poor job of recruiting numbers at O/D lineman. So far BK
has made inroads on shoring up our lines. If you have
noticed AFTER LSU offered a couple of recruits the big
boys followed. That shows how much BKs talent evals are
respected.

It's early so I don't see the point of stressing yet, but we do have a ton of low rated guys.

Have to realize that LSU is not going to be a team ever, especially in the NIL era, that is going to sign a 5* from New Jersey, Nevada, Georgia, and a couple from Texas. Just not going to happen. LSU's trump card is in-state talent.
It's pretty clear Kelly's strategy is to focus in-state, be a player for a high-star OOS kid and strategically hit the transfer portal, by position, to fill the high school recruiting realities.
I would guess LSU's NIL budget is about 1/3 of Texas, Ohio State and Texas A&M. That budget would be more wisely spent on the top in-state kids and a Texas kid, and then supplementing in-state with underrated kids and the transfer portal than chasing after a bunch of OOS 5*s who will make their decision solely on the biggest offer with no other factors considered other than the biggest offer.

Still very early.. not sure why we are freaking out.. we have been top 10 just about every year besides coaching change year.. Kelly will sign a good class.. let’s calm down and let the cards fall

The stars just don’t matter a frick ton now. Does it matter that we didn’t get 5 star Denver Harris but we got 4 star DENVER Harris as a transfer?
