Is Nyckoles Harbor a better tight end prospect than Arik Gilbert was in 2019?

Arik Gilbert could have been a wide receiver or a defensive end as well

Neither one of these guys is a big fan of blocking ( or so it seems)

Considering Gilbert was the highest rated TE prospect ever, I'm gonna say no.

Harbor is the better overall athlete and truly is in the top 1% of freak athletes. Gilbert was the more polished TE from a route running standpoint. Harbor is just a better raw athlete than everyone he plays against. It will take him some time to adjust to the college game regardless of the position he plays in college.

It's been said recently that Nyckoles hates getting hit so TE is definitely out. He's not fond of contact so football could be out altogether with him.

Rumors, but who knows if they are true or false right now.

I think Mason Taylor is an upgrade from Arik big time.

IMO, Harbor 6'6" 230# is a track athlete who plays football. His focus is on competing in the Olympics. Just several months ago (Aug) he ran the 4th fastest 200M ever in HS... 20.79. He also ran a 10.28 100M. Everyone wants to sign this kid, but not sure he is 100% invested in CFB. Anyone have a clue if LSU Track has reached out to Harbor ?

If Harbor comes to LSU it will because we have a great track team to go along with football as well. Michigan has the lead if its about academics or his extended family.

You don't think a person's mental health affects football?

Did he play TE in HS? I saw a few highlights and he was always on defense.

In terms of a prospect, Gilbert, though marginally.

Lots of guys on here want to apply hindsight.

No, Gilbert though a head case had 1800yds receiving 14tds , they’re trying to fit Harbor at TE so he can run track professionally and not put on any additional weight. As far AG is was a good as a TE could be without generically building one in a lab. That’s the football breakdown.

No, Harbor is a better Edge guy than he is TE imo.
