Interior DL... What's the scuttlebutt?

I see we have none committed from the HS ranks.
I see Fiske and Shand listed in the transfer thread as possibles.
Anyone else? Any talk of converting an athletic OL?

My source on the 4th floor of the athletic admin building said Lance Heard is going to play right tackle and Emory Jobes will be moved to d tackle

Tell them to empty the trash cans and mind their own business.

Shand is on campus right now. Fiske visited Florida State today and then is visiting USC this weekend.

I’m sure bk knows who he feels is going to contribute next year and who’s in the portal and who is out there to be recruited for this recruiting class . He will compile the info ,assess who he believes we have a chance to land and then Decide if that’s enough and if not or if he misses on a guy he expected to get then he will find more guys further down the wish list until he’s confident we’re ok at that position .
I mean, I don’t know who specifically he’s targeting but he’s not the type to feel like he’s hurting in an area and not address it.

I believe he will try to use the portal exclusively for position groups that were thin in a particular recruiting class from next year on. Hell he may be doing that this year. I believe we will be off of the best player available strategy, regardless of position, soon.

That is truly incredible that your source on the 4th floor knows this seeing how Heard hasn’t even made it to campus. Heard is tremendous but not as fundamentally sound as Campbell so let’s slow our roll before he even makes it on campus.

We did the same shite last year when we weren’t immediately bringing in transfers from the portal, and yet he still brought in one of the best portal classes and won the west. Let them sign their high school guys next week then look for the portal recruiting to pick up.

Very true. Heard will need a year. Has to get better at bending and balance. Been watching him regularly

Last year we got Mhiki Wingo, that worked out okay. Get someone as good as him this off season then retain Roy and get Smith back and we're golden.

The fact this went over everyone’s head is why I post so much less than I used to lol

How is Adams fundamentally? Will he need a year as well?

Yep even Lsutool played along. I thought it was funny too.

More than likely. 95% of incoming OL need at least a year or two in the weight room to get their bodies right to play in this league. What you saw from Campbell and Jones this year is extremely rare.

Be careful, presenting these facts tends to make people angry and respond emotionally.

Having two start in the SEC is very very rare. Remember, Jones didn’t have the Spring to get ready. Both should be NFL ready by their Jr. year. To have great bookends for two more years, that’s a major plus. If Bradford returns for one more year, keeps this front together for another year. One of the top in the SEC and the nation. Then all you need is backups.

Yeah. I’m saying last year everyone was freaking out when we weren’t immediately signing transfers as soon as the portal opened.

Most guys on here are just looking at next year and we will be fine next year but it's not just next year.
It's the years after next year

Trindon Holliday at DT not DE. That's right, so short, small, and fast they can't block him. OL would just tower over him and he'd duck under any block.
