I understand what you are saying and agree, however the chicken little syndrome gets extremely tiresome as well and your chances of getting a legit answer go down significantly with comments like this:
The randtards come and go, and posts from you, red, and fanva are mostly spot on. But this particular rantard brings up a legit concern; our top three at RB are all either graduating or draft eligible after this season. Even with LF onboard there needs to be discussion on who else will be in the rotation. Three pages of bickering is uncalled for.

That is a legit concern and it has been discussed many times, which unfortunately will lead to smart arse comments from many. Though the McKnihght vibe comment will only make it worse
Clearly LSU needs multiple RB's in the class(next 2 classes really). Personally I'd like to see at least 1 RB in every class (along with a QB in every class). As for the names, D Williams from Ehert and Shorter (a Texas kid) are 2 to keep an eye on. No commitable offers yet, I think the coaches want to see them in camps and maybe next season. I know we have an offer to a D Cook from Fla, but he is a verbal to Clemson and so far sounds solid. That's the one's i know. There will be others, like i said it's 300+ days to NSD, I like what the coaches are doing, focus on Fournette, wait for summer camps to solidify other targets.

You have to be kidding. I don't spend my time stirring up message boards. If you get your panties in a wad by just somebody's gut felling, that's your frickin' problem.

I've seen tidbits here and there, with Palelei highlights popping up on the board every now and then, but actual discussion is rare. OP could have picked better wording but I think this is what he was after:

It's obviously a fluid situation and the target list is going to bounce around, but thanks for doing more than hitting a few emoticon buttons and moving to the next IM thread.

If Frank Wilson is on our staff come signing day '14 LF will send a fax to LSU.

Getting Racean Thomas would heal the sting a good bit if Fournette went out of state. In state Palelli would be a good pickup
If those are our best possible pick ups to replace Fournette if he decides to go elsewhere then I would be worried. Replacing 6' plus and 230lbs with 5'8" and 180lbs. Hopefully we have some other back up plans.

I only read the title and a few posts under that but I think the OP presented a legit question.
If LF doesn't sign here, what are our options. Instead of turning this into a "you are fricking stupid, LF is signing here", I wouldn't mind discussing this.
I know some people answered it and I applaud that, but come on people....this isn't the Rant. It's the Recruiting Board.

What happens if LF gets drafted, with this Korean War looming? Do we have a back up plan, or hold his scholarship until his service is done?

The "all in guys" are naive.
He is making five official visits for a reason.
There us a chance he doesn't become a tiger, I'm sure Les and the boys are aware and not going " all in" as some of the tards on here.

I agree, people get a little worked up when these kids take official visits. I think he already knows where he wants to go. The officials are just for fun. I would love to go on a few official visits, but I doubt the wife would appreciate the type of fun these kids have.

Les and the boys are going all in on LF. Why wouldn't they? He's the best RB to come out of this state in many years. Without Frank Wilson on the staff, I'd be concerned about him going elsewhere. With Frank, I like our chances

Darrel Williams out of John Ehret
Sione Palelie from EA. I've seen good film on him.
Who know's what will happen position wise with Brazil. He could add some serious bulk and still be pretty damn fast.

I'm not sure anyone is actually disagreeing in this thread. Is anyone suggesting that we take no other running backs this year besides LF? If so, I haven't seen it. Everyone agrees that we need at least two and probably three RBs in this class, since we didn't take one last year (unless Brazil is one). So no one is suggesting that we take LF's commitment and no other RBs.
What seems to be the issue in this thread is the psychological attitude that we, as fans, should have regarding LF's recruitment. Should we prepare for possible disappointment so that we aren't emotionally crushed in the event that LF chooses another school? That way, we can be truly overjoyed when LF commits, since we weren't expecting it. Or should we go "all in" and allow the confidence of a future LF commitment to permeate our consciousness so that we can actually enjoy the excellent year that 2014 is shaping up to be (without worrying all the time)?
It's ultimately a matter of personal choice, rather than a matter of meaningful argument. Personally, if there a neutral ground between the Debbie Downers and the Sunshine Pumpers, then that's where I want to be.

That's not an "if" I want to think about.
It could happen, probably a slim chance but I've seen several sure things go other directions.
LSU most likely has contingency plans and the world wouldn't end if LF went elsewhere.

The Bama tards are pretty confident they will land several top LA prospects. If they were to land the states top recruits once again it may be time for ties to be severed.

Exactly!
The OP started the thread with a negative flare and then gets all upset and goes into his Mr. Innocent role when he gets called for it.
Color be shocked over the responses to him.
Add in the fact it's almost a fricking year away and I

1. When did they ever take the top recruits in Louisiana?
2. What ties would need to be severed?
