I recognize no one likes this statement but do you think he will be a QB at the next level. He’s listed as a ATH and he’s electric with the ball but is he an every down SEC QB? I think not

2024, Peyton threw for 4,500 yards. Most importantly of all this, he went 310 for 443 (70%). I would not be surprised at all if he were the only QB in the country in high school that threw for 70% or higher with at least 300 pass attempts.

He also threw for 800+ and ran for 100+ in a single game last season… thats insane!

Que the playoff game vs Alexandria. He wasn't superman that night. Remember Brock Berlin, Josh Booty etc? All put up far greater numbers, with better physical talent and none were good beyond Evangel. I get it's a different time and era of offense and he's not those kids. I get it. Just giving examples of kids with better size, talent and stats from the same school that didn't pan out as everyone said they would based on video game numbers. It's high school and dozens of qbs across the country put up those type of numbers. Go check the record books someday. Those numbers are rookie numbers. Just facts.

As for recruiting Houston, we didn't even make his top 5. Not Havens. Both barely mentioned us(at the future 50). Are they being coy or honest? Hard to believe we're favorites and get nothing but a honorable mention because we are specifically asked about because they're from Louisiana. Money can change that instantly of course. That also goes both ways. USC and Oklahoma are the favorites for Houston. USC in particular, if status quo with their $ remains kosher, which is a big if, is gonna be hard to top without overpaying. Of course these days kids not being truthful with their true intentions is always on the table as well. Strange world now.

Not to say i dont like Houston and agree he's easily the best of the group now. The future is what I'm not sure about. He may be as good now as he'll ever be. Not much upside there. He's the '27 version of Juju Lewis. Ahead of his peers in HS but with limited upside due to size and physical tools.

70% completion on 433 passes. 4,500 yards. 38 TDs. 6 INTs. Over 10 yards per attempt. 5A level.

No, he will definitely be a QB.

Berlin and Booty didn't put up these numbers. I will find them. They were awesome for high school. But they weren't at this level. More like 60% completion rate, 8 YPA, way lower TD:INT ratio.

He has all the physical tools to be an all world QB.

But the most important traits a QB can have are always the least visible. So it's wild to even start to discount the kid for his physical tools (when they wont limit him to begin with)

QB is the point guard of the team. Intangibles rule. Peripheral vision (360 lol), pass accurately on the run, shall I go on?

Bryce Young is 5'10". Russell Wilson is 5'11". Houston has plenty enough size.

What no one is saying about those numbers, Evangel’s lack of defense inflated them… A. Houston was always getting the ball back quickly after the other team scored, and B. They never really got to play with a lead. Houston always had to score and couldn’t chew much clock.

So Houston was/is in the same boat as Daniels was at LSU in 23’. Having to score every time to beat anybody.

Guys that say this shite never have seen him play. Yea his stats are inflated because of his defense but go watch the tape. His offensive line was as bad as the defense. The kid can play and create plays and probably throws better on the run than anyone in the class. LINK

I’m sorry but that is not a fact. I’m not telling u that I know where he is going, but if you think he is close at all to calling LSU home, you don’t know the family at All! You should not call your opinions “Facts”. That just causes people to get excited and then let down, if you are wrong. Then fans are mad because somebody told them, the kid was a lock. My Opinion is he does not show up at LSU. I could be wrong. “ You never know”, that’s a Quote/Fact!
