Personally, and I know this isn’t going to be popular in this day and age, but Bryce and his family are a bunch of bitches

High school recruiting results are WAY overrated. If anyone doesn't believe that, look at Colorado....look at Indiana....look at Ole Miss. None of those teams did squat in HS recruiting and look what they did in signees after you factor in the transfer portal. To get all upset upon losing a supposedly great QB or a particular WR is over-reacting. IF LSU can get a good transfer portal QB which I think is likely, I won't give losing Underwood a second thought. Recruiting these days is HS + transfer portal. Judge on the final results...not a process that isn't remotely finished at this point.

We offered a HS recruit $6mm…to a recruit that hasn’t taken a snap in D1. That’s pretty freaking large offer by LSU

The kid chose $12mm a year. You can’t get pissy at LSU on this.

Hell, I’d become a Michigan fan for 4 years if they offer me that lol

Oh it’s chickenshit on their part. And I know no one feels bad for coaches, it’s their job and they’re well paid for it, but it’s chickenshit to pull this on Joe Sloan, it just is. Dude spent over a year building the relationship and you can’t even give him a heads up before it’s all over ESPN? frick off man.

People that get emotionally invested in a specific kid do it to themselves.

Plenty of 5 stars have done this to lsu over the years. The only difference is the money is in the open now.

He's a really smart kid. Michigan is a much better academic university. If somehow he had a career limiting injury, he'll benefit from staying home.

Everyone is probably on the table honestly. I’ve always thought Pickett was firm because of Raymond but who knows

I’m with you. I’m 53 years old and I started following recruiting back in the late 70s. I followed it as much as I followed the football team during the season. It was already becoming a circus for the last decade with all of the flipping and shenanigans during the announcements. Now, NIL has completely ruined it. There’s no such thing as loyalty anymore. It’s basically who can pay more. And if a university has an alum who is vested in a program then they can just spend whatever they need to buy the best players.

This whole business is completely unchecked too. I’m done. Had enough.

If you are surprised that an 18 year old went back on his word after he was offered several million dollars I just don’t know what to tell you.

It's worse cause he was the number one recruit and "our" qb of the future.

It wouldn't hurt nearly as bad if this was a defensive end.

It’s almost so perfectly lined up that I feel like it was a troll. The ultimate recruiting troll ever performed.

No way I think Pickett is locked in. Not saying he flips but if you think he’s a lock you’re setting yourself up for a melt. UGA and Miami drop big bags. It won’t be over until he’s on campus, and it still won’t be over then in todays college football.

In baseball the rule is recruits are fair game until they attend their first class. High profile recruits were going to far as to move into campus apartments the week before classes start to drive up the signing bonuses from pro teams. The NIL risk feels like that - NOTHING is guaranteed until the signed LOI is faxed in. And then they portal out after a year…

Again, this isn’t surprising…

Rumors have been going around, he’s been visiting, he’s a blue chip from Fl and he’s involved with schools that drop big bags.

That’s a lot of of clues people.
