I don't get why people keep saying WR was a position of need this year

Plenty of depth for 2020, and still solid depth for 2021 before even including the WR we get in next years class.

Well the coaches tried to sign 4 for some reason.

And need or not we just missed out on elite talent.

I mean Boutte is not exactly a slouch at WR. I'd argue he's every bit as good as Burton.

You can stop trying to spin losing 2 Top 6 WRs on 1 day if it happens, thanks.

Yeah with everyone we have coming back, with Moore, Boutte, and Gilbert, and a lot of talented receivers in the 21 class what is everyone upset about?

Precisely.

Is the world ending? No. However, we clearly wanted all 4 and we're looking likely to only get 2. It's understandably frustrating.

Plus you have a published promise to the Stingley family that he will play WR. Can you imagine how great he will be? I don't understand the panic at the moment

No one is spinning anything. Of course we wanted those guys in. But it's not like we are losing guys at postions we couldn't afford to lose them. Literally all I'm saying.

2022 with preston from st james is the most wanted
half of you are losing it over them two but realize one thing we got talent here in our state. get out to a high school game or watch them on cst to see who will be good
i just want evans and burch that is all.. it would have been nice to get burton and jarrett.

WR is one of those positions you can fill just about every year. So while you hate losing talented players, if you have to lose guys at one position WR is probably it. The bigger issue (and we don't know this for sure) is if LSU pushed some front 7 defensive players out to make sure they had enough room to sign WR's who ultimately didn't sign. You can never have too many good d-linemen or pass rushers

Catastrophe syndrome.

Guaranteed to have chase and Marshall back. Coaches seem to love McMath and he certainly looks the part. Two years down the road is questionable but WR is a spot a true freshman out of the 2021 class can contribute immediately

1) Lots of WR's see the field
2) Again, top 50 type elite players

Hey, we had lots of bodies at WR this year, why did we really need Ja'Marr Chase? It's not catastrophe syndrome, but this isn't good news either.

Agreed. We NEED Boutte to sign. With him and Moore this cycle will be OK. We have Chase, Marshall, McMath, Palmer and Lee coming back. Next cycle we already have a verbal from D. Smith with Hilton, Thomas, and Brown ALL from LA out there.
Given today's events it wouldn't surprise me to see CEO and staff target and press for another WR this cycle before the Feb 5th signing day. Semper Flex!

We lose Marshall, Chase and Jefferson all 3 of course. But we have Devonta, Palmer, Koy, Boutte, Kirkland, and Jenkins. Not a bare cupboard.

He gone, grow up and get over it. We have a great class and we have great WR's.
