school fatigue

Theyve been in school for 2 years. If this is a reason, then they are ungodly lazy, and will never make it in the NBA.

Im not saying its a reason, but if it is...

This is my thought. It would just be lazy and impatient if Mickey went pro, not a good indicator of his chances and makes me at his "iron deficiency".

Yeah you can't make it in the NBA if you didn't take college classes seriously

Not enough. Got to be good enough up front so that Victor comes off the bench.

What? 1. Simmons should be everything we all hoped Martin would be. 2. I doubt there are any Jordan Mickey type players still out there.

LSU will be a guard oriented team next year. The fact that LSU is getting a guy who will probably be BETTER than a first team All-SEC/1st round pick is amazing in and of itself.

What does being tired of going to class have to do with the NBA?

Neither will make the D league all star team. They should stay and work on their jump shots and free throws.

If we get Newman losing both won't be as big a blow.

He and blakleny are gonna score the ball. Something we don't get consistently from our guards.

Not having to go to class anymore, study for exams, do homework, ect. And most importantly getting paid to play basketball

A 4 guard lineup with Simmons at the 4 is sick. Let's run

Newman
Blakeney
Hornsby
Simmons
Victor

Patterson
Gray
Quarterman
Epps
Robertson
Malone all off the bench

So Victor, who only got 4 minutes a game at Arizona is going to replace either Martin or Mickey? Simmons is good enough to replace one of them, Victor ain't on that level.

They don't have to directly replace them. We are upgrading other areas of the roster with Blakeney and possibly Newman. If Long D or Big E improve enough to play extended minuts at C, Victor can play the 4, Simmons the 3, and an embarrassing fortune of guards would be a damn good lineup. Simmons will probably play some 4 and Victor some 5, as well.

Should have never let the center for Vandy get out of Baton Rouge. He would have been the perfect fit....

Victor would do the same type of thing on a team like Vandy.

Arizona is 64-8 over the past 2 seasons while Vandy is 34-29.

Of course, but that's because we'll have improved guard play.

After I watched that USA FIBA Gold Metal game with Malik, the few times his shot didn't go in, they weren't crazy misses that bounced way away from the rim.

The barely-missed misses were perfect for other USA players around the rim to put-back slams or get some garbage lay-ups.

IMO, that's what we'll mostly need out of our big men with Simmons, Newman, and Blakeney firing & barely missing.

People are so fricking spoiled and annoying. There is 1 maybe 2 big men that could come in and immediately impact a team like Martin and mickey. CJJ is doing a ridiculous job recruiting but people still say more more more

I don't understand how he can't comprehend that Victor could still be a stud and not play much at Arizona

damn I hope Mickey stays, but I'm doubtful. His "iron" was probably a connected NBA scout telling him he's good as drafted if he plays well in the tourney

Simmons is as good as Martin or Mickey. Victor is not. So there will be a drop off in the front court if they both leave.

First sentence is a pure guess.

Simmons is already light years better than both. Have you read all the ink on this kid or seen highlights? "pure guess"? Simmons is one and done, not the NBA projects that M&M are.
