Would probably have more to do with Caleb Williams than anything
if we get Caleb Williams for the next 2 years, that's game blouses. Riley would be able to lock in a top 2023 QB easily and he would be a redshirt freshman by the time 2024 rolled around. Hell if we do get Riley there's a chance we get his 5 star QB Malachi Nelson in the 2023 class.

Of course this is all speculation, pie in the sky, hoping for me.

Bech loves LSU. This is hard to believe, especially without the new coach being named. Do these offensive players think that coach O and JP were the guys that would best build a winner and maximize their abilities?

Y’all need to pump the brakes. We gotta hire a coach first but Howard’s IG isn’t indicative of where he’s going. LSU will make the hire and then he will ultimately decide. Kid is a legacy. Unless Woodward fricks the hire, I’d expect Walker to be here in spring

If i recall correctly, Brennan de-committed for a period after Les was fired and was acting like he was going to Okie State or something. As long as the HC hire is solid we should be fine.

He de-committed because Ed, 100% believing that Kiffin was coming to LSU as OC, began a full court press to get Tua to LSU along with Kiffin. It was only after Tua confirmed that he was 100% solid on signing with Alabama that LSU brought Brennan back into the fold.

Obviously there is uncertainty as to who the LSU coaching staff will be next season so I FULLY understand a highly touted recruit wanting to keep his options open right now until he knows who will be the HC at LSU next season. I'm sure Howard still would list LSU as his favorite school. But until the situation is a bit more clear it is probably reasonable to not "commit" to anything right now.

This can't possibly be true, unless the reasons aren't football-related.

Riley coached back to back Heisman trophy winners and turned Jalen Hurts into a Heisman finalist.
hell forget all of that, he has 3 starting QBs in the NFL, 2 have been rookie of the years, and one could be this year's MVP, and a star freshman right now. Riley has a better pedigree with QBs, right now, than anybody else in recent memory.

Do you want to run a high powered offense?
Do you want to play with filthy receiving talent every year?
Do you want to be a heisman contender?
Do you want to be a heisman winner?
Do you want NFL scouts declaring you at top 5 QB?
Do you want to be a first round draft pick?

I'm not calling any QBs idiots for not wanting to be coached by Riley, but if you want ANY of those things, this is the guy to play for.

. There is also another big 2022 commit looking elsewhere and scheduling officials. I’m sure it will get out soon.

Surprisingly, canning Louisiana native O in the middle of a season and making him coach it out as a lame duck wasn’t a good plan. Like it or not, O was able to get Louisiana kids to buy into staying home and representing their state. It will be interesting to see how the next coach, if he’s from out of state, will handle keeping players in-state.

I've seen no evidence that Notre Dame players are getting any more NIL money than other major programs.

You’re either a Tiger or tigerbait. Best of luck to the young man but I’m riding with the new coach and players who want to play for the Tigers

I don't believe this. That kid isn't stupid. Riley has put top 5 picks in the NFL that have been playing great. He took Hurts and turned him into a competent throwing QB that still had dual threat capability. His current freshman QB is a true dual threat. This is bullshite. He's not stupid.

Riley is worth it but outside of him there’s not a lot of other QB gurus ready to go.

I believe the 247 guys and local media here. The Howards are doing their due diligence just in case LSU makes some out of left field hire that doesn't fit Walker's style of play. If they make a hire that fits him, he's a Tiger.

I agree. He's a legacy and unless there is something significantly wrong with the hire he will be coming to LSU. It would make more sense then him going elsewhere and Bech transferring after getting settled in BR.

I would expect the Howards to be patient and make a well researched choice.

Campbell will be a tiger. Had the opportunity to go where he felt oline coaching would be better but still chose LSU.

That was completely different, as O's dumbass was saying:

quote:

Pro-style QB recruiting: Asked about LSU’s perceived inability to recruit or develop quarterbacks under Les Miles, Orgeron made clear that he plans to recruit pro-style quarterbacks and prefers to recruit pro-style quarterbacks from Louisiana. LSU signed 17 quarterback in Miles’ 12-year tenure – nine pro-style quarterbacks and eight dual-threat quarterbacks. “I want a pro-style quarterback,” Orgeron said. “Louisiana has been rich in quarterbacks and pro-style quarterbacks. ... We’re going to go anywhere in the country that we need to get them, but we’re going to look at Louisiana first.”
quote:

Coach O: "I believe that nowadays, you have to run the spread offense, you have to have dual-threat QB that can run and throw ball."

This nonsense was said one month apart.

He also "tried" to get Tua, and I put tried in quotes because according to Tua, he didn't show that he cared that much as contact wasn't as close like Saban, and he already had Narcisse committed and Brennan was looking around.

The fact that people didn't recognize his complete idiocy before then is baffling to me.

Baker didn’t run that much.
Baker ran a lot.

RSJR 141 carries 405 yards 7 TDs
RRSR 78 carries 117 yards 6 TDs
RSSSR 97 carries 311 yards 5 TDs (got another year ofeligibility)

3 years 316 carries 838 yards 18 TDs

Howard clocked 4.67 (TAMU camp in 2019) and 4.63 (2021 elite 11) in two 40 yard dashes. You telling me he's not willing to run the ball?
