the getting shite stolen was very, very out there

but his first shot will come at RB

If the kid takes that as "betrayal", his High School didn't learn him right about how the world works.

Sad.

IF this is in fact what happened, i'd be willing to be that he was told multiple times along the way he was a RB for LSU

Am I the only one here that suspects some underhanded shuffling going on wit the Fedora brothers? I find that when things don't add up (and they don't here), you should look around to see what other factors may be in play. Maybe there's a lot of blustering about what did or didn't happen at LSU to keep the attention off of the fact that OSU is gonna swipe this kid.

BTW, visited his MySpace page. Real boy scout. We've had enough prima donnas here over the last few years and if his handling of this situation is indicative of what we can expect, let him go. After RP, this team doesn't need another cancer in the locker room.

Yeah, the best course of action is probably to assume the worst about the guy.

Pratt would have gotten at shot at rb. I seem to remember everyone saying ridley was going to be a linebacker. When LSU signed him the ole miss faithful cried foul. Said Miles decieved him. Seeing Ridley still plays rb i find it hard to believe that is what happened. I hate to be a kool-aid drinker but it sounds like something is fishy with the high school coach.

i could see the coach angle, but i don't see how he'd make pratt feel betrayed AFTER pratt made it all the way down to BR

So, LSU was willing to lie to the kid "along the way", but was unwilling to lie to him on the same day he was going to enroll?

That makes total sense.

The MySpace page - not an assumption
The reaction, regardless of the circumstances - immature at best. Granted, we're talking about a HS kid. I didn't exactly make all of the right decisions when I was his age either.
The Fedora connection - pure speculation, but I find it interesting that in a matter of days he goes from an early enrollee at LSU to a possible commitment to the school where his high school coach's brother is on staff.

What's wrong with his myspace page? Did he post pictures of himself making it rain at a skrip club or rolling a blunt? Based on what I've seen, his myspace page is typical of CFB recruits/players.

It's impossible to judge his reaction without knowing exactly what he was reacting to.

My opinion pratt came down with out being cleared was told to go ahead and begin getting settled because you should be cleared. When this didn't happen i bet fedora jumped in with the negative spin. pure speculation on my part though.

Somebody dropped the ball on this one at LSU by letting this guy get to Baton Rouge and not being able to enroll.

That's right, SFP. Forgot about that. I'm sure that there are still ties, but he isn't actually on staff at OSU anymore. My mistake.

If he signed a LOI as an early enrollee wouldn't all this be a moot point anyways?

You really should start a topic on the LOI. Nobody else has.

First the recruit registers with the NCAA to get a clearinghouse number. Then official transcript and scores go directly from the HS to the university of your choice. Then the university reviews the paperwork and ensures that you have the required course/score to enroll.

The university can look at it and tell the player if they think everything is where it needs to be, but the Clearinghouse is the one that has the say so in the matter. Also, the official transcripts have to be sent from the high school they can't be sent by the university. And the test scores have to be submitted to the Clearinghouse directly from the testing agency.

He could not have signed a LOI. HS prospects cannot sign until February.

One thing he could do was sign scholarship papers for LSU, but the scholarship papers are contingent on certification from the Eligibility Center, which supposedly Pratt has not yet received.
