Kevin Faulk is my favorite Tiger of all time, but he was not an elite RB coach.

I thought Sampson was super underrated because he was light in the arse. Hope he does well at UT.

what I continue to laugh at is all the dumbasses who got on Les Miles about the OL because we couldn't freaking run on Alabama. We could run on everybody else, just not Alabama. Alabama at that time prided themselves on their run defense. Les had one bad OL and that was 2009.
The reason we didn't run well vs Bama is because Bama overcompensated to stop the run and we never developed a passing game to keep them honest. Our OL talent was fine under Les as you note. Our scheme post '08 was all self-inflicted.
We had more yds rushing vs Bama in '08 (I think) than any other game vs them since Saban's been there.

We really didn't go after Etienne at all. So that wasn't really a "miss".
I really wanted Moss though.

None of those guys are difference-makers like Fournette. We have four of those guys on our roster right now. So, no big deal.

Moss could be starting right now at LSU.
Instead, he's 5th on the depth chart at A&M and won't see the field for years.
Hope the money was worth it.

We have fallen down in RB recruiting the past few years or more, much like the DBs. To get back to where we need to be as an LSU powerhouse, we need to step it up...

The Orgeron effect. Kelly got the best two this round. We will get back in a culoupke of years.

Our RB room is the worst I've ever seen it, ever.
Hopefully Emery can change my mind...

Cain and Goodwin are average to below average sec backs. We need to hit the transfer portal for a back for next year

I’m told that it is the easiest position on offense to learn. Blocking ( protection )
seems to be the hardest thing for freshmen to get right. Maybe the transfer portal will be the right way to go at least temporarily.

I would assume by the end of their careers, 1 of those dudes will end up back at LSU.
