They obviously don't have an answer. You never ducked a conversation until you had a definitive answer? It's not pleasant but it happens every day. You wait until you have ALL the data and then you have the conversation.
My guess is this kid gets his answer soon. Hopefully it's an offer. If not, he moves on to Option C in Oxford or back to Option A in Tuscaloosa.

this will get cleared up after jan. 2. it seems like hootie is the defense side of the ball answer to quille. 5* who always wanted to go to LSU but staff afraid he might runoff other 5* guys. we could lose two 5* guys this year due to this crap. not good, even if you get 8 other 5* star guys.

Does anyone know if Hootie has told LSU thst he wants to come to LSU now or even if he is interested in LSU now?
We know Adams is interested and may have committed to the Tigers.
There's a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth over a kid who hasn't really treated LSU all that well since he committed to Bama.
It seems to me that he needs to grow up and take done responsibility here and quit playing games with the schools involved . I suspect the street agents have him in their hip pocket.

genuinely nice guy that carried kids to camps when parents couldn't.
(I won't be the only one who picks up on that, so I'll go ahead and ask... politely)

I am not ruling out someone else trying to do that outside of Hootie's circle. (and note, not likely a Bama coach because that would require collusion with Hootie)

Apparently not, but the "genuinely nice guy that absolutely does not have his hand out" did so that should be good enough. I mean he's from Monroe, so LSU should feel privileged he allowed his people to contact them on his behalf.

No, not at all. Zero to do with this.

if i'm mr. hootie, this is an easy choice. TAKE THE STANFORD OFFER AND RUN!! don't walk, RUN!
free ride to one of the elite universities in the world and still maintain a chance to play in the league.

I am positive all those nice guys without their hand out have already pointed this out. No doubt about it because they just have his best interests at heart.

Someone did say that some recruiter-reporter said there was a 3-way... call... with Hootie/Hammond/Adams. Haven't seen this verified. You would figure whomever this guy would be all about reporting it. But I don't do the pay sites, so....
But these are teenagers. Not the best communicators, especially with authority figures, in the world so god knows if they figured it out and then promptly didn't tell a soul at any school (except for Hammond who re-committed)

i dont know squat but i dont think Hootie is playing games. I think he genuinely was torn and realized he made a mistake. It sucks for him if he's now realizing this and it's too late. Kids should wait until they're absolutely sure and not be pressured. At the same time, it is a business, and schools need to do what's best for them as well. It'll all work itself out.
