So he didn't like the depth chart at GA, but he thinks Bama's is better, with the # 1 ranked RB this year all but signed at Bama.

You're probably referencing to that speculative 247 article about his de-commitment from UGA and possible destinations for Emery. They just mentioned Bama because of the lure some top state recruits have with them, but you're forgetting Bama already has the #1 RB commitment already in Trey Sanders. I don't see the Tide as competitors, I see it as LSU vs UGA with LSU now having the big momentum. Questions for him about LSU's o-line were answered, the trajectory of the program back on the incline and not a decline as many predicted, and the whooping we gave UGA. It's a culmination of things that gave him probably more to consider. I have a ton of respect for players like Cardel Thomas and Derek Stingley, top state recruits who committed to LSU this past summer not knowing the future of the program when there were so much doubt and negative comments, nationally and locally. Not only did they stay committed, but repped LSU hard along the way.

His source is his son who is a classmate of Emery. He has stated this before. While this may not come true, I’d say his source is every bit as credible as anyone else’s.

All this talk centers around a possible visit to Bama by Emery. Now all the sudden Bama is the favorite.

Sounds like the kid is getting pulled different directions by the grownups in his life. Left to his own decisions he'd probably sign with LSU and be done with it. I hope he gets to go where he really wants to go. His dad seems like a nice guy.

I’m at the point of he will go to Bama unless it doesn’t happen. I had a big letdown last class thinking we had pat surtain jr all but locked up ready to go only for bama to come in and scoop him up. Now with emery’s dad not a big LSU fan from the beginning bama will be putting things in his dad’a ear. Emery already burned us once when he was supposed to commit to us before the season and went to visit Georgia and committed on the spot knowing he was going to while telling LSU side what they wanted to hear. I pray we can get him.
