It’s pretty sad the way these parents power trip over having an athletic kid. You couldn’t pay me $10MM a year to have to bite my tongue and humor that bullshite. I would be fired from a major head coaching job within a week of hitting the recruiting trail

The fact he has his uncle handling his recruitment rather than his mom is yet another sign of this kids intelligence. I think people are turned off by his nonchalant attitude. It's easy to misplace as arrogance when it's a teenager but if you look closely he's handling this about as business like as you can. We just aren't used to seeing that from someone his age and it rubs us the wrong way.

When you consider how his mom reacts to these things, then watch how his uncle handles it you can see who is more level headed. There was also a point where the uncle was saying LSU wasn't out of it and mom said that wasn't true and uncle was full of it. Seems now that uncle was more informed on where things were than mom was which means this kid, at his age, was able to recognize his mom might not be best suited to guide him through this. Not only that but he was able to let her have her part in the whole process without letting her take over. Again, for a kid his age, that says a lot.

She needs to take an English class or 3.
