Either Perkins has VERY high expectations or Kelly knows the kid is an entitled prick and a massive waste of time.

Lafayette is right down the street and Walker is a qb.

I honestly dont know so Im asking, has Kelly visited with any of the Texas area recruits?

It’s reasonably likely that he steps in campus and gets in line because he’s not the top dog anymore.

Maybe. But I also heard a lot of Tate Martel in that interview as well.

First impression:

Let A&M have him.

I am sure he is a great athlete. Will do great things on the field. Wish him the best.

Whatever is the opposite of the "it" factor to a team, he seems to have. Left me with a bad feeling.

I am wrong often, but usually deadly accurate about these kind of things.

Best wishes to the young man.

So hes a problem because LSU is barely recruiting him? The same thing multiple of other recruits have said? The same thing that was said about Kelly at Notre Dame?

Dear God in heaven. You people.

You do realize that the NFL is a communist system, right? Worst team gets to pick the best player.

After seeing that video, it's obvious he's all about the $$$$. Never once mentioned an education or pursuing a degree. I can see why LSU has cooled on his recruitment.

Dude’s gonna be a major locker room cancer wherever he goes. One of the worst selfish look at me attitudes I’ve seen

you realize there's a difference in how the NFL runs itself and trying to put some sort of cap on how much an individual is able to make on his name, image, and likeness? Last I checked, the NFL doesn't limit that.

There are no rules that can be put in place to stop it at this point. It sucks and will likely end up leading to the down fall of the sport, but nothing can really be done. I guess all of the schools could band together and enact some sort of uniform policy across the board, but a) it won't happen because the top of the food chain prefers this b) you'd probably start to venture off into violating some anti-trust laws there.

Jimbo is building a clone of that 2016 Florida State recruiting class that absolutely fricked FSU’s culture and destroyed their program. Dude doesn’t have the culture and team building down enough to ever be relevant. The guys on this board who’ve never played organized sports don’t get it, but you pass on a guy like him. He’s going to severely frick up whichever program he ends up at

I try not to pile on kids but man he comes off really bad here. I hope he gets a coach that can relate to him and help change his outlook. No doubt he's talented

That was a very disappointing watch. And not BC he is obviously leaning elsewhere. If anyone should consider education first it’s this kid. If injury strikes what’s plan B?

I'm pretty sure that's not very high on his priority list but there are no shortage of corners to sell crack on.

I hate to see what happens to these kids when they show up as millionaire college freshmen. Many from underprivileged backgrounds. What are they gonna spend it on and how will it affect their on-the-field play and off-the-field maturity?

Fk that dude! I trust this staff's evaluation for him and it sounds like he knows that he is getting passed on. Doesn't sound like he cares much for aTm though.

He said "shite", I think, at least twice during that interview.

I’m definitely not saying you’re wrong, but I found this sentence hilarious. Those are two polar opposite positions.

I don’t see LSU going hard after him because that prima Donna attitude is what they are weeding out and I’m totally fine with that.

His attitude doesn’t make him a bad kid. He is simply a product of NIL and how kids are treated on the trail. If we were in year 3-5 of Kelly’s tenure and the culture was set and player leadership was fully developed, I would be all about LSU putting the hard press on Perkins and then pounding on him when he gets here.

But we aren’t there today. A guy like him just isn’t a great fit here for year one of this rebuild. As much as I would love for him to come here due to his talent level, we need stability first, and guys like him won’t bring any of it.
