Strikes me as kind of odd, if they are a package deal, why would Hootie decommit from Bama right after Hampton to Bama looked like it was going down. I think people are reading too much into their friendship.

I agree and find that you are being far too logical for the board. Hampton to Bama and hopefully Jones/Adams to LSU.

I like our chances with Hootie.

Just seems like something happened to the Tide/Hootie relationship on his last trip to 'Bama.

Could be that Hootie's vision of his college career and the 'Bama coaches' vision were different visions. It could be as simple as 'Bama was not what he was expecting.

Does not matter what the "why' was----I just want Hootie 'To Want' to come to LSU and fulfill his dreams.

My guess is Hootie and Adams to LSU and Hampton to the Tide. Ole Miss, well they are just Ole Miss.

for Hootie to reach out to LSU a week ago or so and ask if he still had a spot and then be in contact with the LSU staff within 24 hrs before and after the de-commitment from bama says it all.

Hampton is not coming to LSU so why worry about him at all.

Adams is the real question and the biggest need. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Right before he tweeted that he was decommitted, he tweeted "gotta stick with the family... Ole Miss" but deleted it

Hampton is recruiting Hootie for Ole Miss. Bama recruiting wheels are not coming off, however things are getting wobbly with some speculation that their prize QB, Scarborough (among others), is wavering, (Especially with the apparent transfer of the FSU backup QB to Bama). Having said all that, it's all fluid and lots of distrust in recruiting and you never know until the the LOI is signed and received. So it will be interesting to see what happens with Hootie.

Bo Scarborough has never played QB. Plays RB,and that is the position he wants to play. Alabama's "prize" QB is David Cornwell, and he is VERY solid.

technically it is your english skills, but im pretty sure if you posted on here and mentioned Bo Scarbrough you would know he is a RB not a QB. IDK what the bama guy was thinking, and is Cornwall wavering?

Phaz, thanks for pointing that out. I am in the middle of the Bama world and actually knew that. I had a momentary lapse.

That's What Saban Said.

But seriously. Hampton is headed to OM. The other 2 were educated guesses.

Maybe...Maybe not.

To count OM out today would be premature. OM has been in his Top 3 for months and he and Hampton have grown close since "The Opening". If you held a gun to my head, I say he plays for his Godfather at FLA...Joker Phillips.

I think this year's catastrophic UF season has a lot to do with him opening up to LSU more. Joker knows that he may not be there 2 years from now.

That it is a big factor. Had FLA had a great season, I think Adams would already be a Gator but things are anything but stable there now.

Another board I was on said Hootie is interested IN OSU and thinking about taking an unofficial to Columbus. Because it is a Dead period, has to be on his own dime.

Jamal Adams will not be at Ole miss. I have not read anything anywhere except on this board that would make me think otherwise

Remember last year around this time when tunsil was either goin to Georgia or Alabama. Only the ole miss boards gave themselves a chance.

Before any of y'all hop on my dick I never said adams will be at OM

if there is *ANY* truth to Hootie courting Ohio State again at this late stage, then I'd tend to believe that Ponamsky may actually know something about Bama and/or LSU cooling on Hootie.

Not sure how Bama would play off pulling a schollie at this late stage and not have Hootie start blasting them. So, maybe they are asking him to greyshirt (which would be a big insult for an EE) or focus on a position other than safety. These would be soft tactics for showing him the door.

OM Def out...... And the reason lots of people think FL is out now is because their HC may not even be there along with staff in a year or two, also because he tweeted himself just the other day and said he talked to his family about this decision and a huge weight has been lifted. Implying that they would support his decision to LSU 100% if that's where he feels comfortable! Plus Jan 2 desicion is buga nation big day. Come on down Hootie, Adams! That backfield will be an entire NFL backfield with 2 deep depth. LBer isn't looking bad either? RB either, WR either, QB either yeah we on decline
