I don't think anyone knows where he will go, mostly because Gunner probably doesn't know.

Well one of these is full of shite... unless he intends on annoucing he hasnt made a decision.
You dont schedule your annoucement unless you have something to announce.

Yeah, what was the name of that ND QB that LSU made look like pre-digested hamburger meat back in the Sugar Bowl in 2006?
I really think that Kiel has a WANT to come to LSU. He just has to get over the one and only obstacle......distance.

I think this kid will be successful wherever he goes.
I mean, if he goes to Notre Dame, he'll get the attention of the national media that really follow college football casually from day one. These are the people who segue from talking Yankees/Red Sox to Notre Dame/Purdue with no real sense of passion or emotion. The Kornheisers of the world. He'll just be the latest in a quarter century line of "Great White Hopes" who is going to revive that program.
If he goes to Vandy, he gets a great education, plays in the best conference,is surrounded by 2/3 star athletes, and has his head handed to him every single week by programs loaded with 4/5 star athletes.
If he comes to LSU he gets the BIG STAGE, the 365 days a year passion, the meaningful games every week, the chance to play for CHAMPIONSHIPS, the positive vibe that surrounds Les/LSU etc.
We know what he loses if he picks another school.
He really can't understand that as an 18 year old kid sitting in Indiana.
But something tells me if he came to LSU, he has a better chance of reaching his full potential.
Whatever he decides, it's good to be him, no doubt.

Do you really think he doesn't get the "big stage" and "365 days a year passion" at ND? Really? ND does have a lot of casual attention from the national media, but there's also arguably the biggest (non-casual) fanbase in the country. And I'm sure Brian Kelly is selling him on the top recruiting classes and improvement and saying, "if you come here, you can be the one that gets ND back to the top".
When was the last time LSU developed a good NFL QB BTW (and don't say Flynn, he's a backup right now, nothing more)? You have no clue if he has a better chance to reach his full potential at LSU or not.

Brady Quinn and Clausen are awesome

Being the backup to Aaron Rodgers isn't exactly telling of Flynn's inadequacies. Rodgers was Favre's backup for how many years? Man, that guy sucked.

I think the young man is trying to keep an even "Keil".

When you compare LSU vs ND insofar as recent QB success, it is probably advantage LSU. LSU produced the #1 overall pick. We all know how that turned out, but it still means something and ND can't say the same. Matt Flynn has had as much success in the NFL as Clausen and Brady Quinn and arguably has a brighter future than both. Love him or hate him, JJ will at least get a shot at the NFL; Ryan Perriloux would've been drafted if he could have kept his shite straight at LSU.
Neither school has a current NFL starter, so it's not like we're comparing QB factories here. But then again what school can you say is a QB factory?

The fact that he's made no decision tells me ND is not his gut choice. Now it's just a tug a war between the schools. No telling what he decides.

sooooo...no word yet?
You didn't hear? He recommitted to Indiana this morning. Soon after, Brian Kelly flew to his home, but didn't stay long. Gunner briefly switched his commitment to ND, and then the rumors started. Vandy got him on an official around 9:30 AM CST, yet it seems this never happened. LSU offered his girlfriend an equestrian scholarship around 1:20 PM CST. Promptly, the Kiel camp issued a statement that Gunner's recruitment was wide open again.
