Coach I am hoping and praying for you and Quad. Thanks for letting us take this journey. Great to see a kid working his arse off to become something great. Hopefully he gets his offer with LSU if not he will be successful wherever he ends up.

Hey Coach. I do not post much, maybe 250 times in 10 years. Hell you prolly have a higher post count in this thread. Just wanted your to know that I have been intrigued by it from the beginning. You shared insights that the very most us have not known, only speculated.

I hope the best for you and those that you are assisting.

This story no matter the end result has been truly amazing and fun to keep tabs on. This is the type of story you could see on a college game day segment. Wish Quad all the best no matter where he goes, hope LSU is in the cards.

Wondering if this thread is hurting Quad more than helping him at this point?

There are things in the works, that some schools may not want to be made public (Michigan//LSU); and then the offers don’t come when Coach says they should come.

Coach May just be new to this.

Either way, I hope the best for the kid. He seems like a good player/ kid.

Is he totally wrong though? Looking back through the thread, 3 times Coach has believed a public offer from a "big" school was coming
quote:

He also has a few offers from I guess what you all would call “Quality” schools that frankly finished higher than LSU in the Top 25 this last season. These offers will be announced after attending those junior days.

quote:

Michigan offered. Will be made public tonight or in the morning

quote:

Offer announcing for Quad coming tomorrow. Big 10

It appears that as of today, none of that has come to fruition, at least publicly, unless Rutgers was that Big 10 offer. As I've said before, either there is some miscommunication going on, or Coach is playing to the crowd a bit and overselling the interest of some schools knowing most of the posters in this thread will eat it up and confirm they thoughts that LSU should have offered this kid 2 months ago.

I think coach may be a little too close to the situation to make an honest assessment of Quad's status among his class of QBs.

I'm sure a lot of these schools like him but it seems like they're slow-playing him, keeping him as an insurance policy. They don't want to tell him that because of course he may just sign with one of the schools that actually want him right now.

I thought that's been pretty obvious from the start.

I bring here, within reason, what is being communicated to me. Thats the whole point. Not twisting info. Not sure how I can be "too close to the situation" Im not bugging the staff or making demands, or pushing them at all.

Recruiting is extremely fluid. Thats all I can say about it. What I do know is that Quad is an SEC caliber QB, and no matter what he is going to be successful.

I will say that there is a school recruiting him VERY hard, that if his visit goes well, he is likely to commit if LSU hasn't offered him. They have been building a really good rapport over the last month. Will be a big suprise if this happens.

Hey, I'm an LSU fan first and foremost. If he thinks it's worth waiting for an LSU offer good for him and good for us.

When I said too close I meant too close to Quad. You want it so bad for him that maybe you think he has a better shot of landing a scholarship here than if you weren't so close to him.

Either way he'll get to play FBS football and that's something most kids can't say. Great for him.

I would have hated if my coach in hs would have been going on a site telling details of my recruitment.

So he wouldn't wait? Or do you mean if LSU hasn't offered him by the end of next season?

Sounds like you need to smoke a little bud. Relax there jerky. I would assume the kid doesnt mind and that's why coach is on here. I was just saying many kids would not like this approach b/c there are clearly shithead "fans" that are over the top. LSU has proven to have a number of these.
