You need to attend. Thats when the better competition shows up, and where the most offers come. Seriously, show up and prove you indeed want that offer. I'm rooting for him...

justustm2, the decision of whether or not he will attend will not be based on pride, anger, or any other emotion. It's simply a matter of timing and economics. We had other things and trips laid out and planned for the summer. That's why he went to the LSU camp in June. It was not scheduled for him to attend in July. Also, these camp are not free! I am not wealth by any stretch of the imagination! I spent money in June. I had not planned on paying LSU again in July. So, that's why I said it hasn't been decided. He may attend, and he may not. I'm not upset about them not offering him, not in the least! But, I feel like if they want him, they know where to look! He's right across the street at U-High!

Very reasonable approach.

Start posting on the OT more. You will automatically jump up a couple of tax brackets over there.

Wildman,

Someone posted that Garrett father us on this board and obviously that is you. Two things:

I posted that I saw somewhere your son is 15 years of age, about 6-4, 6-5 and around 280-285 lbs. Is that about right if you don't mind me asking?

And the other is that I watched your son's highlights and he is definitely gifted so good job and congratulations!!! What an accomplishment for him, you, and your family!!! I am sure LSU will offer and would be shocked if they didn't but congrats on the other major offers already going into his junior year. What an accomplishment!! Again congrats and best of luck!!

Wildman, I hope your son ends up at the July camp but the financial aspect is definitely understandable and you are right. The LSU staff doesn't have to go far for access to your son. Keep him workin hard, enjoy the process, and most importantly help him make the best decision for him and the family. Best of luck and

if there is a good chance that kid gets offerred at camp then financial issues should not matter. he will be getting a free education. I had to pay.
good luck and hope he becomes a tiger.

Larry, are you offering a donation? If you aren't paying you can't say what should and shouldn't matter! When the power company comes to shut off my services, should I just say, "My son is gonna get a free education and I spent the bill money on an LSU camp, so it shouldn't matter!" Step into the REAL world!

wildman, I think we would all offer you a donation if we could

Unfortunately, I don't think the NCAA would appreciate it. Good luck though and I hope GB can make it to camp.

wildman, i thought you posted that the decision also envolved possible going to other camps/trips which I assume cost money. you are right, its not my money. All i was trying to say is that whatever the costs it is small relative to a free education at a major university.

With all due respect, who is birkenstock? I do agree with him that Garret sounds legit and is worthy of D-1 offers!

Good question, TigerAlum93! I was intending ask the same thing myself? Just who is Birkenstock? I've never heard the name before. If it is someone I should know, I apologize for not knowing.
