Future of offensive line

Was thinking about the outstanding job Brad Davis has done over the last few years and the deep talent pool we now have at OL and wanted to project out:
2024 season
LT - Will Campbell
LG - Garrett Dellinger
C - DJ Chester (seems to be the favorite to win the position)
RG - Miles Frazier
RT - Emery Jones
Key backups
Tackles - Bo Bordelon, Tyree Adams, Weston Davis, Ethan Calloway, Ory Williams
Guards - Kimo Makaneo'le, Coen Echols, Paul Mubenga, Khayree Lee, Joe Cryer
Center - Not sure who the backup center is - maybe Mubenga
2025 (rebuild year)
LT - Emery Jones (Campbell goes pro, i think Jones comes back for Sr year to improve draft stock on the left side)
LG - Coen Echols
C - DJ Chester
RG - Paul Mubenga/Khayree Lee
RT - Weston Davis or Ethan Calloway (loser may shift inside)
Key backups
Tackles - Bo Bordelon, Tyree Adams, Ory Williams, Brett Bordelon (Adams may transfer if he doesn't win a spot this year)
Guards - Kimo Makaneo'le ,Khayree Lee, Joe Cryer, Devin Harper
i could see them going after a transfer or 2 as well. 2025 is where you really miss Heard, he could slot right into that LT spot. If jones goes pro as well after the 2024 season i would expect us to be in the mix for a portal tackle unless the staff likes what they see from the young guys.

Jones is the number 9 OT returning in college football. I see him going personally.

On the On3 podcast, Shea and Brune have said the the staff is high on Tyree Adams. I believe he was a top 200 recruit. I wouldn't count him out as being the first guy off the bench this season and then potentially filling in at one of the tackle spots in 2025.

I think there is a small chance both of our OTs go in the first round of next year's draft, barring injury.

Jones is gone after this year. There's no need to improve his stock. He has all the applicable tools needed to play the position at the next level. Coming back only opens door for injury.

maybe i'm being optimistic but 3 year RTs dont often come out. they shift to the left side and get paid.

Emery is going as he should.
Will be a top 2 round pick.

Kimo is moving to DT. Is it only for Spring though?

I thought it was for more spring bodies at DT until we hit the portal

Good job on your breakdown. A friend of mine did a similar breakdown on this video!

Probably depends a little on how good he looks there.

It seems Coen Echols is running second team behind DJ Chester at center. That's going to be two great interior players moving forward.

Those St.Aug kids rarely disappoint

I thought Cryer was supposed to play center?

I can recall when two highly rated defensive linemen moved to offense back in 2007. Lyle Hitt and Carnell Stewart proved to be successful. Hopefully, the reverse can be true for the 2024 season.
It looks like Kelly and Brad Davis have done such a tremendous job of recruiting offensive linemen that at least one of them can be moved for the spring to the defensive line, where the depth is questionable.
So let's hope Kimo responds well to this move and is a quick learner, so that he can contribute to the defense this fall.
