Zero elite DTs in this class
and to make matters worse …the more I study Darron Reed …the better he starts to look …he would have been at least quality depth as a freshman

Yep. We should be recruiting multiple DT's right now.

Even if Roy comes back next year, after 23 you could lose Roy, Guillory, Smith, Wingo.

We need to build an army of DL, that's how you win.

Those of you putting all your hopes on a healthy Maason Smitb don’t seem to recognize the issue at hand

We need multiple Maason Smiths to reach elite status on the dline

We dont have to be like Georgia and have 9 guys to rotate equally the whole game. But honestly having 2-3 backups who can give us 10-15 snaps a game to spell the starters would be huge.

Unfortunately, we can’t count on Smith staying healthy. Dude has proven to be injury prone.

If the last few weeks are any indication we desperately need DL depth and an ILB because Penn ain't it.

lsu has always lacked depth in those two areas for what seems like forever

just don’t get how they are unable to recruit quality DTs and LBers EVERY year

Maybe BK can turn it around

Agree. Depth is a big part of that and we have to address those positions in the portal or that will keep us from a playoff spot for sure. We were extremely fortunate to only have 1 injury in the front 7 all year. Roy would be wise to come back. Don’t see him as better than a 4th round pick right now. He’s not nearly as good as Farrell was last year. He still has some room to get better and improve his stock.

Yeah I would say their biggest recruit is Roy.

I know lots of people say he’s gone but unless he has some dependents I think that’s a bad move.

We need to add some depth and get some people in this class for the future.

We’re not at the cliff ledge yet but we’re getting there.
Smith, Wingo, Guillory next year need 2-3 more guys who can play at least some.

Tolan should help there next year and get a lot more reps. Hopefully the younger Weeks is also ready to play some as a freshman.

Big freshman LB just entered portal from Indiana hope they try to pull him.

The 6’5 225 LB was No. 1 in the nation amongst freshman for tackles for loss, Top 5 in sacks & defensive stops. Totaled 50 tackles this season.

Wiggins and Womack will start on the edge. Jones will be in the rotation.

Need 2 portal DT’s to spell Smith and Wingo.

Younger Weeks is a dude but may not be ready to start this early on. Tolan is primed to breakout. Really need a presence in the middle. Penn will need to step up his game.

Desperately need a star at DB.

Just started a thread on this guy. I think we should 100% take a shot with this kid. Imagine and and 40 flying around next year making plays.
