Yep. I'm just unsure if he has to sit a year. Either way, it's nice to have him.
Yeah, not sure on the rules, but if he was going to have to sit for a year anyway, we can give him a scholly next December. I’m sure someone will put up the money for his school for a year.

Need more info on this guys situation
What do you mean?
Jumbo athlete. Played QB in high school. LSU didn't really have room for him. He had other big time offers but I'm not sure which ones were committable. Went to Texas. Quit the team in December before bowl practice. Heard maybe it was a family issue. Maybe he was just homesick. Maybe he hated Herman.
Regardless, he's a great addition to the team at a position of need and he doesn't cost us a spot in the signing class or a spot on the 85. There's literally zero downside here.

His mom and dad will pay for it.

So sitting out one year does not apply to transfers that transfer from D1 to D1 school if they pay their own way and walk on the following semester?
I’m not familiar with the ins and outs of the rules, but at one point there was a thought he may have some family reason for moving back to BR and possibly getting a waiver from the NCAA. That wouldn’t be unprecedented.
Now if it’s just that he was homesick, I’d be shocked if they granted a waiver.

I don't know. Usually transfers have to sit out a year. But I've never seen a transfer that ended up as a walk on at the new school, so I'm not sure how the rules apply.

I'm hoping he's eligible for next season. We need the depth on the DL. SDE seems perfect for his size. Personally I like the leaner type D lineman. They just seem to give offensive lineman fits on a more consistent basis.

Unless he gets a waiver of some sort, I don't see any way he's eligible for 2019.

As soon as somebody posts that one epic video of him trucking an entire team, those unfamiliar with him will be on board. It was the single coolest recruiting video of last year. He’s a Dunham guy and friends with Stingley. His issue was always what his natural position would be, his athleticism and toughness has never been in doubt. He has great foot speed and is uber- flexible, so if he is big enough and works on his technique he could be a great DL. Aranda will find a spot for him I’m sure.

Vol quick question. If we sign Parker, Hampton, then we land the Sopsher’s and Lee that would put us at 24. Would you say there’s a better chance of getting the possible transfer or signing a guy straight from High School like Pickens, Williams, Young for the 25th spot? Assuming we land the Sopsher’s.

Sign another out of HS and have the transfer pay their own way until a scholarship from the 85 cap is available so it won't count against the 25.

All he has to do is claim sexual harassment when his head coach, Tom Herman, kissed him multiple times.
