No surprise that Hootie Jones committed to Alabama, what is is that the crowd celebrated. Monroe was once as pro-LSU as it gets.

You cannot blame losing a recruit on an assistant coach when the community celebrates a player leaving.

North East Louisiana isn't Alabama either.

People in Mississippi hate Alabama, with good reason - speaking of the university here, but not completely leaving out the state.

Why would people in Northeast Louisiana care about Alabama?

yeah, and every kid in New Orleans used to go out of state. NELA isn't lost. We just need to lock it up the way we have New Orleans. We need a Frank Wilson up there.

i think you're missing the point. Even when CRob committed to Bama, there wasn't an overly happy crowd. Same with other kids. I wouldn't fricking cheer him on if I was a student there.

You are accusing DP of sunshine pumping? What do you think you're doing? There is a growing sentiment in that community among recruits that doesn't deter them from going out of state. Thats a fact. Say what you will but the proof is in the numbers.

If we land Jamal Adams it makes all this moot, but it still stings to lose two 5* impact players to your biggest rival.

Lived in Monroe / West Monroe area most of my life. This area is 75 - 80% LSU. I doubt if S.LA. is any better,
