It seems LSU has at least 23 locked up. It's the remaining 3 spots that are in question.

Pure wish list

Pickering
Moore
Young
Ish
Lee
Williams

If I'm wishing I want all the DL kids.

The reasoning for Williams over Hampton isn't talent, I'd rather have Hamptons, it's signability and focus. Is baseball gonna take Hampton before he arrives or if he does arrive what becomes more important to him? Is he gonna miss every spring to play baseball? Is he gonna focus more on baseball mentally and physically? Is he gonna bolt to the draft in 3 years before his football career fully blooms? Williams is safer to me for football purposes.

Wishlist:
-Pickens (Why not add another 5 star)
-Ish (Hes a Dline and we need to start a pipeline to Amite)
-Young (Dude is super good)
-Lee (need a pipeline to Amite but play him at LB)
-Moore (we need Dline depth)
-Hampton (could help both baseball and football tremendously)

Realistic List:
-Ish (I'm not convinced he goin to Bama but he probably is #eyeroll)
-Lee (I think this was secured up when he canceled Kentucky)
-Hampton (but he screws us when he goes to MLB though)
-Williams (even though CB and S are not a pressing need like other positions)
-Parker (I just hope he stays on the team and plays Oline and maybe a goal line TE)
-Moore (its a close call between here and Auburn though)

In reading the boards, Parker probably doesn’t have a spot. The juco kid probably hops on board. Just hoping we get 2 of the DL we are recruiting. One would be a decent haul but 2 would be great to go with who signed in December.

I'd like to see Hampton sign and play at LSU because I want to see him play baseball.

So why was Pickens “all LSU if he qualifies” And now he’s “all auburn”.. is he flip flopping or was that all LSU y’all bull shite?

Y’all bull shite.

Pickens was never coming to LSU and is still never coming to LSU.

247 has a big board and mentions Parker may have to go JUCO. LINK

Hmm... Could have sworn he tried to get us to send him an LOI back in December so he could sign early, but we wouldn't do it because of his grades risk...

Why? Amite has had 3 good players recently and 2 are at positions we are good at. They have an ok DB next year and after that?

DB is probably the 2nd most important position we need guys at to finish this class

How much you want to bet he's playing football and baseball at LSU in 6 months?

I am guessing things are a bit hush hush with huge competition over a smaller number of players.

I am OK with only signing 3 studs if we can and leaving the rest for Spring transfers and 2020.

Anyone know know where we stand on the 85 before signing anyone on NSD?

Thank you. That's really tight. I can see 3 relatively easy transfers, but it would be tough after that. Next year seems tight as well with only a few 3 and dones.

Ok, here's my fillers based on most likely:

Fonua - I imagine he jumps in right away after the visit
Lee - Seems he's already on board, but who knows
Williams - Same thing here, not going to Bama, probably is already on board, though DB is not a top priority.
Hampton - He's already committed, and even though he may go pro in baseball, he'll probably sign

Ish - most likely of the D-lineman
Moore - best outside shot at a D-lineman

I think we take 4 and leave spots open.

can easily get there at WR and RB alone

we will lose a lot of guys after next season. this team is going to be REALLY good and high profile, lots of eyeballs on them, difficult for other teams to focus on a single guy to isolate or exploit - so everyone is going to get a chance to shine.
