I had a feeling this would happen, but I'm not too mad because as others have said.. it's likely to make room for bigger fish. Feel bad for the kids who won't end up here, but hopefully they end up somewhere they can get some playing time. Based on who we're still after, I don't think the 5 remaining spots were going to be enough.

We have 25 spots, 20 filled. Got some big fish. Marshall, Surtain, Joseph. So 2 more spots. I expect Washington to go to TCU one more guy. Very telling on which guys don't sign on December 20th.

You offer early because if you think you've found a diamond in the rough, then it works out when you're the first team to offer him before he blows up (see guys like Rashard Robinson, etc.). Sometimes they just don't pan out and these coaches actually have the better interest with these kids in telling them to look elsewhere, otherwise they're more than likely going to ride the pine at LSU

I guess you could look and see who coaches went for in home visits and where they did or have not gone in home. that would be telling.
