The LA to LA shite is lame. Kid don't want to stay home, who cares. If you’re a family member. Good luck to the kid. He will fit in with his college coach. Scared of be Sec... Plus, give me a Harold Perkins all day..

That’s not why anyone who hates north LA hates north LA, but yes people do hate north LA.
It’s like someone took the worst parts of Mississippi & Arkansas + stirred them together. Monroe is fine near ULM like around west Monroe, but once you get outside that area — or up to Shreveport and beyond…

Anyone who does any kind of statewide business & has to deal with recruiting employees in those territories knows what’s up. Makes BR / Laf / Nola feel like friggin NYC by comparison.

You bumped a six month old thread?

Could you be even a little more specific about what you’re talking about in your complaints about N. La.?
Could you be engaging in just a bit of generalization / stereotyping?

Southern California will spit him out after a year. Redneck won’t make it out there.

That's an unusual description.
As in they are avant-garde or very forward thinking?

Nothing to do. Mostly speed traps, Jesus billboards, and run down casinos hosting low profile UFC fights.
Same problems as bigger cities (the bad kinds of drugs, crime) without any of the benefits/upside.
Homogenous culture, and the rich LA bits that fill us all with pride seem to get more watered down the further north you go — gets just more “general bland rural America”.
BR and NOLA are actual cities… you’ll find all kinds. Laffy is small but relatively safe & rich in personality / extremely welcoming.
Shreveport in particular has a decades-long running skinhead problem. The only place I’ve ever seen groups of people with swastika tats & I’m talking middle of downtown & yes they were natives + I’ve been around to quite a few places.
Got a buddy who is a detective up there & he hates it with a burning passion that would make my words almost sound kind lol.
Now Alexandria & Bossier are alright - not terrible places. Don’t move the needle much either way for me, but those are probably the best cities in that region of the state.
No offense to any N LA tiger fans, I’m aware there’s good folks everywhere. But you asked for specifics

BR is Shreveport with the LSU campus thrown in.

LSU campus makes a big difference because money & pulls in young folks from all over.
If not for that, things might have played out differently. But that’s a big if. Shreve has really gone downhill the past 20 years. It’s bad. At least the tiny north la towns have a little bit of the country farmhouse charm, if that’s your speed.
Shreveport is like the crackpipe ruins of Houston or something. Hard to think of a comparable city.

I live in both, and they are the exact same. Both shiteholes

All they did was shite talk LSU the entire process pretty much. Curtis was never considering coming to LSU because apparently whatever the LSU coaches did at the time had furiously pissed them off.

Much of S'ports skilled and professional labor ended up in Houston or Dallas.

Tackett has a little sugar which is why he chose USC. He may fit in well just not on football field.

Go on and play for the worst defense in power 5!

I can’t believe this got bumped.

I guess you want Zalance Heard and Trey Holley to go elsewhere too! Nothing worth having in North Louisiana!

John Rambo - the Vietnam War hero played by an actor that did whatever he could to avoid military service. Seems appropriate.
