Never been a fan of ESPN's ratings but this year considering 247 has gone off the rails quite a bit, these look reasonably accurate. Obviously, there are going to be "misses" IYO but concentrating mostly on some LSU signees/prospects.

Gilbert #6 check
Webb #28 check
Boutte #33 check
Roy #37 check
Ricks #39 check
Sampah #55 check
Dumervil #59 check
M Jackson #98 check
Ojulari #122 check
M Johnson #129 check
Toles #145 probably right since he didn't amaze in his all star game
Crawford #165 finally someone gets him right!
Bradford #167 too low IMO
Gibbs #178 too low IMO but going to GT so who cares
J White #212 too low IMO...more instinct right now
Guillory #215
E Taylor #251
L Johnson #252 I would have him higher
Martinez #268

Their biggest miss is happened to D McGlothern? Not in the top 300? Utter nonsense...he is a top 150 player

To be fair, I didn't forget to list Ricks or the others but also to be honest, no reason not to so hopefully I have filled in the several others.

I listen to football nation I think in ESPNU Sirius radio when I am coming home from work between 6 and 7 and they do recruiting nation on Wednesday. The more I listen to Luginbill, the more I trust his his ability to evaluate than these other sites. In addition, they not only site ESPN's evaluations, they are willing to discuss sometimes how ESPNU's differ from 247 or rivals. Shea from LSU 247 is a frequent guest on that show.

Guillory is undervalued at 215. He should be much higher. I think we'll see this immediately next year.

Slightly off topic since not LSU guy, but E J Smith, Emmitt's son, is another one nailed by ESPN and whiffed on by 247 itself. He IMO was the 2nd best back in the UA? all star game (one where Evans was clearly the best RB). ESPN has him 48 and 247 itself 300 Fortunately, Smith is not going to Florida like his dad did...going to Stanford

Yeah, I remember during his all star game that Guillory was mentioned as being in the backfield a lot by the announcers. And Sampah was singled out in about a group of 8 players or so in the summary of the Polynesian Bowl (9 tackles I think and one key fumble recovery)

Did you consult with BayouCatFan to make sure he approves?

I'm sure there is a funny/controversial story there but as you can see I'm a relative newbie so don't know about that many members yet. I have found some I really think are good posters/aka agree with me and some trolls like are on every single internet board. If you don't mind, I will stay naive/Switzerland on BCF for the time being.

Guillory killed it at the all star game. Unblockable.Should have been bumped to top 5 DT in country.

Guillory has the make up of an elite DT and proved it on the field during the all star stretch. If I’m an analyst I’d have him in 5 star territory.

Quick FYI:

Out of all the "evaluators" from the various recruiting sites, Luginbill is the only one who has coached at a College or Professional Level, where talent evaluation is an important component of the job. Most of the "evaluators" are nothing but journalists, although Barton Simmons at 247 did play at Yale, a fact 247 proudly trumpets.
