How bout we get him?

Not sure if there is anything wrong with that.

I don’t mind house staying but not if there is a better option out there.

Why can’t we just get a DC that is competent, just like Robinson.

He’s from New Jersey. Might want to be closer to home.

Robinson has never been a DC. He is presently the equivalent of an Orgeron at the time he was interim at USC or LSU. I don't count his stint at Ole Miss as anything other than assurance of an annual LSU v Ole Piss victory.

Elko is concerned that Erob holds too much power in the locker room and there’s been a rift between the two. Elko is worried he won’t hold enough power & respect with Erob on staff. Expect Erob to look for a job elsewhere sadly.

I love seeing all these things happening around the CFB landscape as we twiddle our thumbs and do nothing to correct the horrific defensive staff we just dealt with all year.

I know House wasn't great this year, but is Robinson a better option?

Not trying to be an arse, I just don't know much about his history as a DC.

I understand he'd be a big upgrade in recruiting though.

If we were going to hire a position coach to come in a be a big time recruiter as a first-time DC, it would probably be Bo Davis at UT. Kelly supposedly tried to hire him as DL Coach last year and couldn’t pry him away.

I don’t think we should or will go this route. I’m just saying he would make more sense out of the two with his connections to LSU.

Let's be honest, the great majority of us didn't even know who he was until the recent drama at A&M. In my opinion, he is making a smart career move by stepping up to a defensive coordinator position at some school. He seems to be very popular with the players and is a good recruiter; that does not mean he can be a good coordinator. The man is using his head.

This is how I see it too. I think they made a mistake and fired Jimbo a year too soon. They essentially fired him to avoid a Les Miles type situation but in the process opened themselves up to an Ed Orgeron situation by making him interim HC. The players at USC loved Coach O and wanted him to be the HC.

Thanks.

So I guess it's just the usual suspects wishing we could get a coach with no experience simply because he can recruit? Can't say I'm surprised.

It's amazing to me people on this site think LSU should be the place for a DC to get his first shot.

I can see that, new HC wants staff he can trust and know he is in charge and ERob was part of Jimbo’s disaster so maybe a clean break is needed

A broomstick with a mop bucket for a head is a better option than House.
