Chinese- I get your point that he has been brought up. I just find it mind blowing that I personally have not read much about him on this site or even during the season from the news. Very high level ath that I'm Suprised recruiting sites have not jumped all over.

I think the reason recruiting sites aren't really covering him is the fact that they think he is coming out in 2014.

I went to school with him, and I don't think LSU was going after him hard in football last time I talked to him. He had a great freshman year, but he was sidelined most of the season with a broken foot. Personally, I think he is good enough to play RB at LSU. He is very fast and cuts quick.Reminds me of mike ford

If he's been reclassified then that would explain why interest is picking up. For kids next year, only the best of the best would be getting tons of contact at the moment. 2014 is way too deep and good to jump on non elite kids this early. Letters and evals are about it for the most part.

I remember the thread his freshman year and he was getting a ton of love iirc. Different kind of back than we've had success with but imo we need particularly if we're going to employ some zone read stuff. Have to have that edge threat in those offenses. Difference is that he could translate to any style of offense instead of being a 1 trick pony like a McCalleb or Lamicheal James.

Didn't post those links because I thought your post was unwarranted. I just posted them to give the guys that saw him & recognized his talent early some love. Found them in a Google search when looking for articles on him and thought they were interesting enough to link.

Do most think he's better than Perkins?

Yeah, I heard the Lirette kid has the potential to be a superstar and comes from a family loaded with football talent. It's a shame they don't let him throw more.

Do you think his off-season workout & overall conditioning programs could be revised so that McGuire is not such an injury prone athlete, or is he just one of those unlucky ones whose fate is to get injured a lot?
