though hold old are the kids working out?

16 year old twin boys. Said they could do this with no problem. I'm going to kick their arse.
T25 arrived today. Wife, 2 kids, and myself will be starting Monday morning. Wish me luck!
I've been lurking in this thread for a while, but finally decided to take the plunge. I just ordered T25. My wife and I were going to do it by ourselves, but my 16 year old twin boys said they wanted to do it also. Thanks to everyone for the inspiration and excitement.

Planting Pear Trees

I'm wanting to plant some pear trees for deer around my food plots. Can someone recommend which pear tree is best for this and where to buy them?

Can you explain for us how you build and setup the large coral traps. I want to try this, but don't want to waste my time if I do it wrong.

Your biggest problem will be that they are all didferent issues. The lemon law is about one defect being repaired up to four times.

What do you do about a problem that Ford tells you to just live with?

Shouldn't of bought a Ford. What kind of problems you're having with the truck?

Where do I start? I get a brake system warning and the emergency brake light comes on when I'm pulling a trailer, it has missed on me going down the road, it has died on me pulling in my driveway, but the biggest problem is a loud knocking noise in the motor when you start it after it has been sitting for several hours. The dealership changed the oil filter and said that the check valve in it wasn't working right, but that didn't help. It sounds like the valves to me. The service manager called me yesterday and said an engineer with Ford told him that those motors make a noise sometime and they don't know why. Engineer said it wasn't detrimental to the engine and to change the oil and give it back to me. Needless to say, I'm pissed.

Louisiana's Lemon Law

Anyone have any experience with this. I bought a 2013 F150 a month ago and it's been in the shop 3 out of the 4 weeks.

Truck has less than 1,000 miles so I don't think it would be the batteries. I talked to dealership and they told me it was in the settings. I should choose "electric over hydraulic" in the trailer brake mode. It was set on "electric". I hope they're right.

Ford Trailer Brakes

I know we have a lot of Ford owners on here so I thought I would see if anyone could help me.

I have a 2013 F150 and when I pull a trailer, I get a "Check Brake System" message on the screen and the emergency brake light comes on. Everything goes off if I kill it. It only does this while towing a trailer. Any help would be appreciated.

I just did this last weekend. Go to hardware store and buy a 4" PVC "T" and a 4" toilet base. Remove spreader, widen hole on feeder to 4". Screw toilet base to bottom of feeder. Glue "T" to toilet base. DONE! Side note - I open the whole to 4" because i use "dirty" beans for feed and the trash tends to clog up the smaller hole on the feeder. If your feedeing clean corn you don't have to widen the hole.

This sounds perfect. Thanks 633

Gravity Deer Feeders

Posted by Smokehouse on 8/26/13 at 3:26 pm
I am wanting to convert my automatice deer feeders to gravity feeders. Two reasons for doing this. The first is where I can feed rice bran/protein in them and the second is to reduce the headache of timers not working when you go to hunt. Has anyone done this and if so, how did you do it?
I have a yeti and a k2 and I can't tell any difference at all. Except price.

They will, but for a price. Other landowners in your area can help you find the right one also. Talk to everyone you know who has timber and don't be afraid to ask questions. I would say hire a consultant if you live away from the property and can't keep an eye on it. But if you live within an hour or so don't waste your money.

Prices typically will be a little higher if you can cut it during the winter when it's wet.
Where are you located?

I would try and find a logger who buys their own timber or a dealer or company who has loggers working for them and save the $1.00/ton. I wouldn't let anyone cut a tree on me without references and seeing some of their work. If it's not in dire need of thinning I may wait another year or two. Prices should go up a little by then and it will not hurt a thing in growth. Actually, if you are managing for poles/pylons that is the way to go. You want to let it grow a little longer without thinning so the trees will grow tall and straight.

Golf cart for hunting-yes or no?

Posted by Smokehouse on 7/17/13 at 2:36 am
I'm thinking about buying a golf cart to hunt on. Not a bad boy, just regular cart with 6" lift and all terrain tires. I have a kawasaki mule but just thinking the quiet will help out. Can anyone tell me if it's worth it or not?
Is the game televised?

Tactical Knives

Posted by Smokehouse on 2/25/13 at 8:09 am
I've been looking at getting a tactical knife to carry in my boot as back up. I was wanting a fixed blade. Can anyone recommend a few good ones?

You don't "need" a trust for any class III firearm, including the integrally suppressed barrel you are talking about.

What is the purpose of doing one if you don't need one? Can anyone just buy a suppressor?
