Already recruiting for 2020. I saw that he posted on Kendall Milton’s (No. 2 consensus RB on 247) timeline about coming onboard. Also, his post on Instagram seemed to have a domino affect with 2019 (Pickens) recruits and multiple 2020 recruits (Lejond Cavazos, Paris Johnson Jr., Jermaine Burton, DJ Uaigalelei, Sean Dollars, etc.). I like the way this 2020 class is turning out so far, and Ricks seems like a good one!

I’ve been saying this since his commitment. It looked like a ton of guys really wanted to be at LSU. It feels good to know how big of a program, and recognition we still recieve.

I have a feeling that our 2020 class will be one of the most exciting as far as unexpected commitments as there ever has been. Ricks starts it off. Him coming over from Cali is HUGE.

Its a good thing that we are easily recognized as a better place for DBs to sign.

His mom went to SC, but he says she is on board with his commitment to LSU and they think he’ll be developed better as a DB here

The in-state talent in 2020 is just silly. And with the possibility of so much out of state talent coming in, it looks like it could close out as one of our all time great classes.

For that reason, I feel that if we get all our needs fulfilled with this year's cycle, I wouldn't press too hard on depth chart players. We could leave a spot or two open for some absolutely nasty players next year.

Well, of all the names I have seen associated with the various Ricks' threads - the name Paris Johnson is who I would most prefer come to LSU.

If this was a Louisiana kid, I wouldn't be too concerned. However, within the next 9 months we will get the "I have decided to re-open my recruitment" statement. Wait for it.

Or he could be Saivion Smith who committed to LSU a year before signing day and never wavered.

Or Kevin Toliver who was committed to LSU for 820 days.

I'll take the hs Smith. He at least made it campus and that's all we need with Ricks. Make it to campus. What happens after that is on him.

To say he will for sure decommit is absurd. Lots of guys who were out of state stayed on board for a very long time. All the talk was he never committed to this point because his dad wanted him to be absolutely certain, and he decided to do this now. All that he mentioned was he was all in, and that he wouldn’t waver. He’s already recruiting for our class, and is talking about when he’ll be there with the players.
