As a junior, Gibson — whose receiving corps included Penn State-bound KeAndre Lambert — helped lead the Commodores to the Class 5 state title. He threw for 3,562 yards and 40 touchdowns along the way.

Gibson said he’s always wanted to go to LSU, and he said the decision by Tigers QB TJ Finley to enter the transfer portal over the weekend opened the door.

Maybe an insurance policy for Myles if Max is named starter and he decides to transfer?

He will end up transferring to an FCS school once he realizes he will never see the field.

Or maybe he sees coaching in his future and wants to build a relationship with the current coaching staff.

Possibly if his only goal is playing time. If his dream is to be wearing pads in Tiger stadium then you can’t blame the guy for trying.

"Gibson, who has a 4.2 grade-point average and is a two-time National Latin Scholar, expects to get some academic scholarship money to attend LSU. And in time, he wants to earn an athletic scholarship as he works his way up the depth chart".
The Vandy baseball recruiting trick. But, I guess he's still one of the 85.
I wonder if he's heard about Howard & Manning.

Virginia didn’t have a Fall football season. They delayed their season until this Spring. As a result, EJ Gibson just completed his senior season 2 weeks ago.

I don’t know how much that impacted his recruiting or development, but the Spring season couldn’t have been ideal for an FCS level prospect as a junior to get the attention of FBS schools.

Will he get credit for s touchdown on a sneak when half his body is in the end zone and the ball is two feet over the goal line.

this

applaud anyone who wants to be a Tiger, but he has to know that if he's playing or starting, it's because we probably sucked?

he’s not coming here to try and start, I guarantee that. He’s building a network, and chance to suit up in Death Valley. Any of us would take that chance, let’s be clear.
