I didn’t know Lieber King was still doing that magazine.

Lee is a hustler, and he loves what he does. I wrote the first two editions of LA Football Magazine in 1996-97. Proud to see it still going 20 years later. Damien James, Brad Smalling, and I think one of the Joseph’s was on the cover of the first issue. It was definitely a Shaw kid.
He misses on players like everyone and speaks with a bit too much hyperbole, but he has a pretty good eye for talent.
I remember he was REALLY high on TE Nic Jacobs. Missed on that one.
He has educated a lot of parents about the recruiting process and helped a lot of kids get exposure.

Not great speed but very good vision and cutting ability. Looks good

Ronnie Jackson must’ve paid Brecheen to be in his magazine. The only reason Lee pumps kids.

Not for free.

that he thought Ronnie Jackson (3 star RB) out of Edna Karr would end up being a better back than John Emory in college. Seems crazy to me but does anyone else believe that or is he just trying to sell subscriptions?
I believe that there are plenty of other better backs. Regardless of where he signs, I have never thought that Emery is as good as advertised. I know a lot of people do. I know he did very well at the opening. I just don’t see the lightning in a bottle when I watch his tape, that everyone else does. I think he has elite lateral movement and he is a slasher but I just don’t see what people are in awe of. I assume I’m wrong of course but I just don’t see it. This is JUST MY OPINION. Has anyone watched film on Emery and thought it didn’t match the hype?
Not saying he’s trash or anything crazy like that.

I think Jacobs ended up making the NFL for a short time.

Nic Jacobs was a great blocking tight end and was on the saints roster.

Nic struggled to make a big impact at LSU, but did get on as a free agent in NFL. Didn’t make a significant impact at all in the NFL though.
My point was not that the kid was a total bust, but he never came close to the hype Lee gave him out of HS.
If you want a bust from Lee that would be Brad Smalling.
But like I said...everyone misses on guys sometimes.

I’ve never seen Ronnie Jackson highlights or even heard of this kids name, and I’ll tell you Emery will be better.
Well, hell!! If your crystal balls works that well, tells us when Alleva will be shown the door!

Many Highly touted recruits never make it. Some even dominate all star games and never. Anyone remember a decorated OG, Pettway, that signed with LSU several years ago. He was four or five star, dominated the HS All Star games then never started a game at LSU and rarely made the field.

not that Jackson isn't good. But he doesn't see the field like Emery.
I agree.
I don’t see great cuts or agility from Jackson. Something about his footwork that looks slow and short.
Doesn’t have great speed.
He’s going to be a decent back, but Emery is more talented.

So did I. Until I got tired of him having me write substantive stories for his magazine, which he would slap his name on as the author, giving me no writing credit. What a jerkoff!

Lee doesn’t write well. I wrote the entire first 2 issues myself.
