What isn't getting enough press is the other side of the flip. As some LSU analysts have said, this is about the only year that LSU didn't LOSE any commits either in Dec or Feb and signed every one of them. The "net flip" this recruiting class has been outstanding. LSU only decommits during the entire time for 2024 class were Stone, Ferguson, Galloway, Williams, Bates, and Evans. I haven't heard one single person whine about any of the first 4 and there is definitely a split decision about the importance of Bates or Evans/how good they really are.

It could be better, but I also could be a millionaire married to a supermodel. I'm not, but I'm not stupid enough to complain about my lot in life. I'm perfectly fine with where I am, and the recruiting class if good too.

Coaching. That's how. That and defensive line recruiting. Michigan's defensive line was loaded. Defensive tackles, Jenkins and Grant are beast. They totally disrupted the o line of Bama.
That said BK assembled the worst defensive staff in LSU history on the defensive side of the ball. He hired coaches who were horrible position coaches and worse recruiters. That manifested itself on the field every week.
Is our 24 class good ? Sure, but it's short on DT's and Cb's. Johnson is the highest rated cb and we're hoping he can transition from qb to cb. McKinley was a good flip but dt recruiting from high school has been mediocre to abysmal since BK arrived. So has cb.
Fans are looking forward to 25, but we have a season to play before then. We'll see how the new defensive hires work out.
