Does anybody know why things went south with us and 5* CB Joshua Dobson?

He wanted way more money than lsu was willing to offer. Lane and lsu general manager ( forgot his name). Are not willing to pay any High School freshman top dollar unless they feel as though they're going to come in and start right away.
There's also rumor that he really liked LSU but his agent is the one pulling the strings behind his commitment

Not sure why we're not a finalist. We were the favorite.
ATM is in the lead for him the same reason they are for 1/4 of the five stars in this class....$$$. It's the sole reason they're getting blue chip out of state recruits.

Shea said today that the price other schools were willing to pay started soaring, and his agent told LSU they need to get to that price for Dobson to take his OV. LSU said absolutely not and Corey refused to even go with Baker and Olson to visit his HS teammate the next day.

Bryce Underwood is exhibit A that they absolutely are not. “Generational starting QB” by every scouting service that saw him and 2 years later, people are saying he has no idea how to even play the position.
