They also seem to have issues developing talent. Besides the 26 draft they've averaged 3 to 4 players a year drafted.

transfers are allowing everybody a chance to have more draft picks.

TAMU's top 8 draft picks (the ones who went in the first 4 rounds), 5 of them were transfers and 3 of those transfers were one and dones. The remaining 3 guys who stayed with them from high school were OL and DL. Out of the people who usually get drafted from TAMU, they were usually OL, DL, or LB. So now they can get transfer DBs and WRs and it works in their favor.

It's actually scary how consistent it is since Jimbo. Every now and again you'll see a DB or WR in the top 4 rounds in TAMU's SEC tenure, but if you go over just Jimbo's tenure (2019 draft through 2024 draft) of their 15 top 4 round picks, 11 of them were trenches or LB. Of the other 4, two were RBs, one a QB, and one a TE. Also, if you go after Elko's first year, all 3 draft picks were DEs.

So over a 7 year period before 2026, of their 18 top 4 round picks, all 18 played the closest to the line of scrimmage and only 4 didn't play OL, DL, or LB. TAMU had a myriad of 5 star and high 4 star DBs and WRs, and none of them panned out until they started getting them from the portal last season.

That will get you the 8-4 moniker all the time. Good line play with a good run game will keep you consistent, but it won't get you a championship.

With all that said, IDK why they are waisting so much on high school players. Money isn't the only thing making them leave.

I’m sick of all this. The NIL will implode at some point and it’s going to glorious to watch. It has ruined college football!

Agreed. For anyone to not realize this is laughable. The shite is broke.

But it’s okay when they commit to LSU?

Can’t celebrate it one day, then fold your arms and pout about it the next day

The obvious question is what's his Kelley Blue book value? The owner should know that before going to market. Is he sold from the dealership or from a private owner. How much money into him etc....Details

Kiffen won't overpay for a freshman who may not see the field much then have them transfer after the season which is what may happen at TAM. Throwing money down the drain. If we didn't have proven players in front of him they would have paid.

Did we say it was ok when they commit to LSU strictly because of money and not because they actually want to be there to play for pride of the university and will bolt and leave the first time something doesn’t go right for them? No we didn’t.

The fact that these 5 stars commit to any team (including LSU) strictly because of money sucks. Because these guys will leave in a heartbeat once things go the slightest bit south.
