Ponamsky was on 104.5 talking about how shady Holmes is. Said as the Bastrop DC last year, he was always influential with making sure Devall was going to Bama, and that he was not surprised that this guy got into Shiro's ear and switched him. He's been openly anti-LSU in those circles since he's had a platform.

Just too much smoke surrounding this Decarlos Holmes character....
One wonders just how much of this can be pinned on the kid (or his mother, for that matter. parents frequently look to coaches for guidance).
I'm gonna guess we haven't heard the last of this or of Holmes...

The truth is he did not decide until this morning and was very torn. He looked at the youth of Texas team and where he could get more playing time to make an impact sooner. He's a very good kid. His coach nor his mom knew either.

Isn't Prather the one that came between Joe Ferguson and Terry Bradshaw but died in Vietnam? Roovelroe Swan went to Green Oaks. Wendell Martin, Ronnie Prude, and Morris Claiborne went to Fair Park. Tony Moss went to Bossier High. Corey Woods went to Southwood. Hester, Rasco, Josh and Abram Booty, and a few others went to Evangel. Other than that I can't think of many SBC football players going to LSU.

holmes came from texas I believe. i know Woodlawn was awful this past year. Seems like a good kid and hard worker just didn't seem to translate on the field with his team.
