No. Seriously.

They were both in on it.

What a nice lesson for a coach to teach their player.

The principal should have serious issues with the character if TD's coach. A coach teaching his players to lie should be frowned upon by the principal, his peers, the PTA, etc.

Sean Nelson was the marketing guru, agent, advisor, whatever you want to call him for Greg Robinson and Trovon Reed. Also a part time mechanic at Wal Mart.

Davis’ high school coach, DeCarlos Holmes, did not feel that the LSU system fit Davis and wanted him to explore his other options. Holmes, who was the former defensive coordinator at Bastrop High, felt the same about Denzel Devall and brought both of them to camps all over the country.

Hmmm... don't know if I trust the kid. He talks with typos.

I think the lying involved in big time recruiting is considered just part of the whole process.

It feels so much different now than it did about 6 years ago. Maybe there's just more spotlight on everything now, idk.

Ya'll have lost your mind.

That coach isn't a known LSU hater but that might change after this thread. He played under Coach Eddie Robinson at GSU. The altercation with the student is certainly unfortunate, however I don't think it has gone to court and it is very possible that a WHS student created the situation. This coach has used his personal funds to take several Woodlawn football players to visit LSU. Actually, if it were not for him getting Torshiro to the different camps etc he may have never been seen on a very bad Woodlawn team.

Yeah but did he lie this morning to the Scout analyst?

As a WHS alumni, I can say we were all excited about TD going to LSU. Despite its long-time-ago great football history, WHS has only had 2 knights go to LSU on a football scholarship. There will be numerous unhappy alumni because of this.

RP to LSU was the worst kept secret ever. I don't think you had a statement from him the night before signing day saying he was 90% in. The shite pulled today was janzen Jackson like....I hope his career goes about the same

That does not look good for LSU.

Ponamsky was on 104.5 talking about how shady Holmes is. Said as the Bastrop DC last year, he was always influential with making sure Devall was going to Bama, and that he was not surprised that this guy got into Shiro's ear and switched him. He's been openly anti-LSU in those circles since he's had a platform.

Any time a kid doesn't pick LSU the scorned go full on tard. Its ridiculous. Bash the kid, parents, coach, school ...whatever they can. In reality, the coaching staff isn't doing a good job closing, put the blame where if lies. The kid felt Texas was a better fit.

The coach encouraged him to not go to LSU. He then encouraged Davis to lie to everyone for the last week.

He even lied to Sonny Shipp an hour before the announcement.

I don't know if he hates LSU. But his actions are definitely not those of someone who sees LSU in a positive light.

He even talked Devall into looking elsewhere.
