The hype surrounding LF is absurd. I think he'll be good but its a little early to declare him a once in a generation back with more than a year before he takes the field in college.

Was it the ACL injury, Leonard Fournette, or the fact that he didn't think that both Ford and Ware would leave?
How about maybe they didn't think he was good enough?

Only reason I'm writing this now is because from that one game I know this guy will be a real good one for Nebraska.
Awesome, when can we except to see you as an NFL GM. surely with such abilities you will compile multiple Super Bowl titles

For years Katy has had backs that put up big rushing numbers but never do anything in college. They always have a dominating OL and pound the rock. Maybe this is why Taylor ended up at Neb. and not Texas, Tamu or LSU.

Thinking that LF wouldn't go to a college because they recruited backs in years before him is a stupid logic.
If that's the case, there is NO WAY he even answers Alabama's calls, right? Alabama is STACKED at RB every year, including this class, yet they are considered the main competition for his services
Quit being dumb enough to think LF is scared of any competition at the upper tier of colleges. There will be top rated competition wherever he signs!
Wouldn't his real competition be from a back who has been here for 2 years+ and started (J Hill, Hilliard, Blue)?

He's viewed as a once in a generation prospect, that is not a guarentee he will be a super star in college. As a HS player, he compares well to Adrian Peterson as a HS player, not AD now or at OU necessarily.

Correct! Taylor is good but the katy ol is absurb for a hs team. he gets into the secondary a bunch every game because of the ol. I don't think he is as good as hill, hilliard etc.

Not exactly a running program with big backs

Will you guys just stop. There are hits and misses every year. The coaches can take whoever the frick they want, and not extend offers to whoever the frick they want. Arguing and bitching isnt going to solve it. There are plenty of players that want to go to LSU to play football that dont get the opportunity.
There are plenty of player that we do extend offers to that people on here question. Then they turn in to a 1st round pick.

This is hindsight at its best. I'm sure Ware and Ford wish they were coming back for one more year at this point as well.
I dont believe Miles thought he would lose both Ware and Ford and certainly was counting on Hill being back. His plan was to show LF that LSU was more committed to him, almost an all in situation. This was well worth the gamble and LSU needs to do whatever it takes to land LF. Miles plays hard ball and has made it very difficult for Bama to get this one. LF knows he will be be more loved at LSU and it will be a much easier road to school greatness at LSU. He possibly could be the next JFF if he comes to LSU.
Miles has positioned LSU to where it will be very difficult for LF to say no.

Thanks for finding a way to pin something on Miles.

Hilliard is lighter and faster this year. I believe he will have a better year if he has to carry the load till LF gets here!! In an emergency Diarse, White or Brazil could fill in. I've seen melvin jones run the ball as well. We will be ok even if Hill misses the whole season.

would have been a very risky scholarship considering his injury and since it could've negatively affected leonard's decision

If LF is considering those assholes two states east with all the young, highly rated RB's there, why would Taylor have mattered here???

I questioned it the entire time last year. If LF goes elsewhere LSU is fricked
Not even close man. Louisiana produces so many athletes in the RB/WR/DB mold, this place will never be hurting for a running back. It was worth the risk, LF is that good...

that is exactly what I'm saying. How does this make LSU even more enticing by not taking Taylor when Both Bama and FSU will be stacked at RB. Anywhere he'd go would be competition so I don't think adding one running back the season prior would have done anything. Hell Bama got like 4 last year and they are still high on his list.

when did LSU issue a statement saying they didnt take a back last year because of LF?

lol do you seriously think I'm bitching? I asked a simple question of why you believe Miles rescinded Taylor's commitment. A "because he fricking picks whoever he wants" response seems pretty childish. You're getting overly heated on a simple question.
It's the first time I've looked at the guy and I wondered why did Miles take back the offer because he looked good from what I saw. Fournette is not scared of competition, but not getting a back last cycle might have given LSU a slight edge over others. Still I believe Miles was just over thinking himself. It's not a gripe, just a topic of discussion.

I posed a question with one possible answer alluding to that only because I see it on here everyday. It's a recruiting board meme All in 4 LF so why not?.

The question you pose suggests the next logical extension:
If we turn down LF, imagine what we'll get in 2015?
